Smoke Bayou is a local, black-owned barbecue restaurant known for its delicious and high-quality food. The menu offers a variety of options, from a huge pulled pork sandwich to a generous helping of candied sweet potatoes. The ribs burrito, onion rings, and brisket sandwich are also popular choices. The restaurant is famous for its slow-smoked, lightly glazed meats and homemade sides such as cabbage with smoked meats, greens, yams, and beans. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is homey and lighthearted. Many customers praise the ribs and sausage, noting that the food was delicious. The brisket is also a favorite. The restaurant is clean, with great customer service. The BBQ sauce is as good as Arthur Bryant’s or Joe’s in KC - dang good. Overall, Smoke Bayou remains a standout spot for anyone seeking delicious and authentic barbecue.
