the service was amazing as always!! everyone was very attentive and accommodating to our tastebuds. the waffles were amazing with the strawberry syrup and butter was spectacular to pair. the burger was sweet although the bun was a bit dry (it's brioche bun so it shouldn't be?) the crawfish mac and cheese could honestly use a thicker cheese sauce to compliment the crawfish as it was a bit dry (the whole point of a shell mac is to contain sauce) Love the breading situation on the fried chicken tender tho. Love the ambiance, love that they have outdoor sitting and the whole layout of the courtyard.

I've given this place a few chances, and every time, the food is extremely salty and underwhelming. The most recent time I went, they forgot about our table and we weren't waited on for 30+ minutes. We ended up getting comped for our appetizer, but nonetheless, service was subpar. I will say that I enjoyed the drinks and the chicken and waffles though.

We enjoyed the Boudin quesadillas and crab dip for appetizer. Fish tacos, burger, and chicken and waffles for our entrées. They have reasonably priced cocktails and wine list, and the desserts look good but we got a free chocolate lava cake for celebrating a birthday. The outdoor seating is great on beautiful days. And so we enjoyed our meal. It's not a great restaurant in terms of one of the best in Baton Rouge, but for its price point I think it does a great job for what you pay. Would gladly go back.

Our server alia was absolutely amazing!!!! She was very attentive and great personality, very bubbly. But our drinks was to damn high for two martinis it was a whopping total of $42!!!!! CRAZY!!!!

Love love SoLou. Their courtyard transports you from Baton Rouge. It is so nice and relaxing, like an oasis. The burger is rich but amazing and has to be one of my favorites I've ever had. The shrimp corn dogs are so good - a must try!! This place is always poppin, especially on weekends with all the brunch parties. Book a reservation if you can! And be prepared for parking... not the best situation but well worth it for the food and experience.
