The Kolache Kitchen - LSU

This place is extremely disappointing. I walked in and was the only guest in the lobby and was greeted by two very rude young girls who were talking and ignoring me. I then ordered and they sat there didn't make my drink while the person who made my food with talking on their cell phone the whole time, and then when my food was ready, they presented my food to me and I asked for my coffee and she proceeds to say I'll make it now. Why didn't she make it the whole time I was waiting for my food?

Running late for work one morning, decided to stop and grab a kolache here. Was very disappointed in what I paid $3.85 for a cheap hotdog with minimal cheese. I’ve seen better kolaches at the RaceTrac for cheaper.

Placed and order for pick up last night and just got a message 30 minutes before pick up that they cancelled the order because they are unable to fulfill the order. That should not even be possible given they already had the order placed last night. Extremely poor service and won't order from them again.

Did a nearly $100 pick up order through a 3rd party site and i made it all the way over there for them to tell me that everything i ordered was sold out. How is everything sold out at 9 in the morning?

UPDATE: The "manager on duty" I was referring to in my previous email name is KAYLA! I called to speak with her regarding my order and long story short, she called me a B**** because I called her out on her unprofessionalism! Please go to the other location!!I ordered 3 breakfast tacos for me and my staff through Door Dash. My dasher called and told me they do not have any steak or broccoli. He put a staff member on the phone, I told her verbatim how to dress each taco, and she even repeated the order to me. When my order was delivered, all 3 tacos were incorrect. I called the store and spoke with "Ferry". She was very apologetic, however the "acting manager" at the store stated its nothing that can be done in this matter and I would have to reorder and pay again. UNFAIR! It was not our fault the order was made incorrectly. I asked to speak with the acting manager and that person refused to give me their name or take the call. This service was horrible! $30 bucks for 3 tacos that we did not eat is insane! Please order from other breakfast places.

I used to get 2 tacos every morning before work. They would ALWAYS forget my salsa so I would verbally ask for it. Still forgotten half the time so I stopped going. Tried again TWICE on DoorDash and paid for extra salsa… no salsa in the bag each time !!!! So annoying. I won’t come back.

Their kilache's are good, but there are far better options for the same cost at other locations that offer kilache's,The problem here is the INCONSISTENCIES, it is never consistent, your expectations need to be fluid at this particular location (posibly al locations). As the standard of ingredients I found, they are very different between cooks. And I'll only buy here if a particular cook makes some items.But there is far better priced food selections elsewhere for the value if what you recieve.But with that said, this place is connected with a gas station and kind is no different to eating at a gas station so it's a suitable spot... in that you get what you pay for, and you're paying a premium for the food offered at this place, you're paying a premium for prepped and cooked/sweetened dough (which is a cheap food typically)However, the company obviously could be more generous in ingredients and size because, compared to other companies who double what you "get" in the fkavir department and size were this particular products is lacking "girth" for your money with less ingredients over all and too much dough for the amount you recieve, overall you get way less in return for your money here but its great food non the less.I worked close to this place for one year, Sometimes, you literally hit the jackpot here, but other times, the gas station can be a better choice (for the money spent). Should not be the case when you have a "kolache kitchen." You should excel in your field of expertise not be subpar and lacking.Shipleys dounuts is where its at fit flavor just, again both these places are lacking value

Ms. S.kank with the weave should be fired with everyone else on Saturday shift but also the other reviews.... If I was the owner I might sue for damages, wow they've destroyed the place. Hopefully McDonalds will accept their talent once they get this location shut down.

Went around noon and they were literally out of most kolaches which I guess I can understand. But the lil chick behind the counter had her earpods in and was literally talking over me to her friend on the phone. I wouldn't really care if she could get an order right, but that seemed out of her wheelhouse. The place just looks like no one cares about it anymore. Gross empty display case near the counter. Have the owners given up?

Attitude is horrible from the employee's especially the fat guy. Kolache small and trash, dead bugs everywhere, coffee cold, and smells like weed when u walk in. Just over all would not recommend it's not an experience you would want paying for something smaller than your finger just be treated like you're scum. Best place to go if you want to get a second hand high, and see dead bugs everywhere with trash food. Idk what has happened to the kolaches the past month.

I got a classic sausage and cheese kolache and a breakfast taco with a coffee. The taco was awesome! (and this is coming from a Native Texan, aka Taco Snob) The kolache, however, was lacking. It was just too small. On top of that, the coffee was just bad. I would recommend making your own and bringing it in instead of wasting your 3 dollars. Lastly, the dining area, which I'm sure is indicative of the kitchen, was very dirty. There were dead bugs everywhere, probably because of the crumbs on the tables and overflowing trash. I'm never eating inside here again - drive thru only for me!
