We had the six courses with wine pairing for Valentine’s Day and it was probably the best meal I have ever had. Every course was perfect. So happy to have a fancy option for special occasions. It is on the pricier side, but the food is so good that it is worth it. I do wish they were open more nights of the week as it is only open Friday nights now
This is the best choice in all of South Louisiana for vegan fine dining -- it's become our "special place" for anniversaries, birthdays, and date nights. The menu is creative, inventive, and fun. The attention to detail is impressive. It's too expensive for weekly excursions, so we save it for "special" outings. The menu changes seasonally, but there are a few things worth looking for. The vegan cashew cheeses on the spectacular "Cheese Tasting" are house-made and divine. The "large" one is a sharable experience for 2 people, with interesting cheeses, spreads, fruits, and nuts--it arrives in a beautiful multi-tiered presentation, and it's enough for a meal, especially if you also order a cup of (wonderful) soup or salad to start. It is pricey but it feels "special." The Wellington is also fabulous, and the desserts (esp. the cheesecake) are incredible. We have loved every thing that we tried on the menu. The owner usually comes out to chat. She's a local physician. She uses many organic ingredients and emphasizes quality. She's a very gifted, inventive chef. Check whether they're open before you make plans -- this restaurant only serves dinner one night per week, and lunch on three days during the week. They also serve high tea occasionally on Sundays--but not every weekend.
What a beautifully decorated and charming gem the Plantry Cafe is! My friend and I had a wonderful dinner experience, and although I am not vegan, everything we had was delicious! The Peartini was a great vodka based cocktail, very smooth and not overly sweet. We had the flat bread, Brussels, roasted Maitake, and the trio of
Sliders. All were great, but the roasted Maitake over Gouda polenta was a 20/10, chefs kiss! Service and ambiance were excellent. Thank you for making our first visit worthwhile and memorable! We will definitely be back.

The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was outstanding, but the portions were tiny and the prices were quite high. We ordered a mushroom appetizer, which ended up being just three tiny pieces, each about the size of a marker cap. We got a good laugh that this was called a 'shareable.' It was great, especially the sauce, but not worth $16. Our main courses were likewise, amazing but small.
I guess it all depends on your expectations. I'd say Plantry would be a solid 5 stars if you're not particularly hungry and don't mind spending over $100 on a meal for two (without drinks). But if you're famished or watching your spending, this place may not be for you.

ight (alright) this joint (restaurant) kinda crushed (was very good), maitake (hen-of-the-woods) was bonkers (good), it was way tastier but also a little saltier than I usually take my maitake, when I can find it lol. but the polenta was insane, like so good, omg I forgot about the earl grey infused old fashioned , bruh... the bartender, who was super rad, even made a peach cocktail I liked an ion even fw peach flavors fr (I really don't like peach flavors) I think the owner/manager/doctor checked on us which was really nice. it was also super cool in there. nice tree. nice tea room. I endorse.

Only one visit to the Plantry. Waited a number of months for it to open. When it did I took my family there. It had a nice feel walking in and getting our table. Once we ordered, it took some time for food to be served, and one entree didn’t arrive until the rest of us were almost through eating. I was looking forward to this being a great experience. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best and very highly priced. I hope this restaurant is able to succeed, however, based on our experience, it seems a they have a tough road ahead.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options, but poor quality and highly priced.

I loved the intimacy of the atmosphere! I felt like I had catered a private chef in the garden of my backyard! It was perfect… The food was the icing on the cake! Perfect flavors, textures, and presentation. I will definitely return.

A whimsical one-of-a-kind dining experience is the way I would describe The Plantry Cafe. I loved everything about the cafe. I love nature and trees, so to be welcomed by a tree felt dominant, yet welcoming. It was exciting! The ambiance was attractive, sophisticated, and bold. The food and drinks were delicious, and the quality of the ingredients was apparent. Dr. Crifassi's passion for high-quality and healthy food options was apparent. Her expertise and dedication were admirable. I was impacted most by the story behind the restaurant. As a caring doctor who believes in holistic medicine, she decided to give people somewhere to get healthy options instead of just telling them what to do. I'm thankful for this option, as it is a minority in Baton Rouge. It is truly a healthy experience that makes you happy! I look forward to visiting again!

Wow!! This establishment is beautiful. The attention to detail is incredible. It gives “Alice in Wonderland” vibes, which is put together wonderfully. The food…oh my goodness…delicious. From the appetizers to the dessert..everything that I had was awesome. The staff was also amazing…super sweet. Now, this restaurant is a little pricey and the portion sizes are a bit small for the price but this is a nice splurge to do every now and then. They are opened one Saturday a month for high tea and Wednesday through Friday with limited hours, which makes it a bit difficult for me to patronize often. Overall, it’s a very nice restaurant, which I’ll visit as often as I can.
This is a beautiful restaurant with a peaceful vibe. It’s really clean, has comfortable seating, and the music was great music. My waiter was also very nice. He knew the menu very well and he checked on me several times throughout my dining experience. My food which was good came out quick.

Walked into the restaurant assuming it would be kind of like a sandwich place. It’s actually really cute and upscale. I was underdressed, but everybody was very nice about it. All the dishes are like super foods prepared in a gourmet delicious way. The owner is a doctor and has been there both times I’ve been in and has come over to say hello. Expensive but worth it. A gem all around.
Me and my friends had the high tea today and the cafe was absolutely beautiful with such awesome decorations! Also the food was very nice since it was more finger foods for the tea
