One of my favorites. Ahi tuna was excellent. Server was perfectly attentive.
Took my mother there for 82nd birthday. Staff was great, food was great, with the exception of too much butter in the loaded potatoes, and price was great. First time there and definitely will be going back.
The food was delicious and the waiter was very friendly and attentive However, the restaurant was a bit crowded that maybe had it warm while dining.

The Montreal ribeye is excellent, whether dry-aged with Montreal seasoning or marinated. The loaded mashed potatoes make a tasty side. The dining area may seem a bit tired, but helpful servers make the visit enjoyable. Prices are fair considering the quality of the food. The service is often attentive, with staff like Santana and Ali providing knowledgeable and charming service. Customers appreciate the well-prepared meals, including the filet with Bernaise sauce, baked potato, and desserts like chocolate cake, which is surprisingly good even for non-chocolate fans. The staff’s attention to detail enhances the overall experience, making J. Alexander’s a great place to enjoy a meal with a nice atmosphere.
