The fish and chips are good and the shepherds pie is pretty good. Cute place. Atmosphere is casual. You can bring your dog here too which is cool if your a dog person. The double decker bus is parked in the front if your looking for the place. They have a full bar, lots of delicious cocktails.

I've now been here twice...Atmosphere: pool tables, darts and a mix of high tops and booths sets up diverse options depending on what you're looking for. Food: Dinner food was good (loved the Reuben) but brunch (corned beef hash) was lacking flavor. Service: servers were nice, but not particularly attentive either time. I was going to ask for gravy to spice up the corned beef has but the server didn't come back until we were almost done with our food. 4 stars are for dinner and ambiance

Just got home from a late lunch at The Smiling Dog; Best Fish and Chips I've had in a very long time, not since The Dubliner in Washington D.C. maybe 20 years past. Wife had the Reuben which she said was as good as any she's had. Food was served very hot and fresh, one of very few eating establishments that knows how to serve hot fries, and in very generous portions. Michael, our server was attentive without being intrusive, couldn't have asked for a better lunch and service. Highly recommended.

Me and the guys went here to check out the Thursday specials which were half off draft beer and half off appetizers. Beers and the gin I had were great and the fries were delicious, I just wish they had regular onions instead of green onions. Besides that it's a very chill spot to hang out. Nice pool tables and dart games to play as well. The bartenders are very knowledgeable of the menu, have a great sense of humor, but most importantly the drink pours are stronger than Hulk Hogan. I will definitely be back to this place!

I've been stopping at this pub on & off for brunch since June of '21, it's been the go-to choice as it brunch menu is rather late than other places I've been interested in going to. The dishes so far have been amazing in quality & flavor, I highly recommend the Cajun Benedict , I've never had poached eggs before, but the flavor combination with the pulled pork on top of the biscuits made my mouth absolutely orgasm ( yes i said orgasm) with flavor. The hash browns that come with the meal are not the ones you'd typically get from waffle house, they're the diced potato kind and at first glance i was unimpressed. Then i took a bite and let me tell you those potatoes were seasoned oh so right, I had to pause for a moment before continuing my meal. The staff is always chill and relaxed, and I have yet to have any sort of gaunt experience with them. The overall aura of the place is always pleasant, although they allow dogs on the deck outside and it's usually not so bad, but the last time I went it was slightly bothersome with the barking but not too unpleasant that it ruined anything.

If you're looking for a great pub-spot for Shepherds pie, draft brews or a game of billiards, this is where it's at! And not to mention the numerous specials! Tuesday night $6 burgers with fries is a big hit! Wednesday night half-price wings, and Thursday night half-price appetizers and draft beer.

It's not a bad place. Atmosphere is a little lacking (it can't decide if it's a bar, a pub, or a restaurant), but it's not a dive.-- Update after owner's reply: Sorry - my original wording (unmodified, above) sounds harsher than intended. I've been before, would definitely go again, and have friends who swear by your establishment, so I should have included those pluses. Your wait staff have always been positive, helpful, and friendly with me. I am *personally* not enamored of the building itself, but that's personal taste (I don't hate it, just not "into it"). My 4-star rating only represents my incredibly subjective take - and really is only based on the single aspect that doesn't "grab" me. I will definitely recommend that people pay you a visit if they ask! Best regards :)

I’ve been to this place MANY times and alway have enjoyed myself and the food, however I will not be returning. On my last visit I unfortunately heard a customer using the N- word while an employee told them to keep it down and not say it so loudly and burst out laughing, The both turned around and looked at us while we stared back. We paid for our food and left quickly. Though we enjoyed the food we no longer feel welcomed.

Great patio dining, friendly staff and dog friendly too! We enjoyed apps "poutine"and dinner salads, the dogs ate grilled chicken off the doggie menu.

Sometimes the simplest places create an atmosphere of spectacular food and drink! This place has both! The sports bar feal with a simple but extremely tasty menu! Highly recommended the bacon wrapped shrimp! Service was great and there wasn't a bad seat in the house!

On my second visit here, we tried brunch. The only other time I've been here was years back with some girls for a girl's night out. I remember that was a good experience and I was excited to try brunch here. I regret not coming back sooner. The lunch menu is not overly extensive, but it has something for everyone and lots of Louisiana flair. Did I mention there are Bloody Marys for $3? They also offer a mimosa special that I will definitely be back for. Our server, Mac, was excellent, attentive, and so very friendly. All of that said, the food was the highlight of the experience. See the pics--my son substituted a waffle for the French toast on the Full Monty. There were no leftovers. I had the garden omelet, which was fresh, flavorful, and a really good option if you don't want anything heavy. I had a bite of the Cajun Benedict and the pulled pork was a delicious explosion of flavor atop the poached egg and biscuit. The grits and hash browns hit the mark, and the banger had a great herb flavor. I love the ambiance of the restaurant, transporting you to a different corner of the world. We are excited to return and bring friends back next time!

Went to the Smiling Dog for Brunch on Sunday after Church with my good friend who's like a little brother to me and I was not disappointed. I had the Full Monty.Which consisted of a small bowl of grits which were cooked perfect not runny at all,my eggs were scrambled but you can get them cooked however you like them, two slices of bacon, a link of sausage which I did not care but try it anyway you may like.My friend that I was dining with enjoyed his sausage link. The other items on the plate were two pieces of French toast which were delicious and some small pieces of potato squares which were good. Our Server Victoria was outstanding. She did a phenomenal job of serving us.The atmosphere was quiet which I liked. There were lots of TVs to watch and you can either sit at a booth or a high top table which I always prefer due to the fact that I'm 6"2 inches tall. There are also pool tables and some dart boards located in another room adjacent to the dining room.I highly recommend the Smiling Dog restaurant formerly called the Londoner.

Went to this place for the first time on my partner's birthday and we had a blast! Their menu for alcoholic beverages is endless and from the few drinks we tried I can comfortably say these are the best drinks I've had since I moved to BR. I highly recommend trying the French 75 and the Comfortably Numb cocktails. The food was also an even match with the drinks I tried the Grilled Pleeseburger and their Cajun dry rub wings and had to ask for a to go box to keep myself from scarfing everything down! The restaurant has a very cozy and welcoming vibe to it and our bartender/ waiter for the night had amazing customer service skills. We will definitely be heading back to try some of their weekly specials and sip on some happy hour drinks.
