I made a reservation at Tsunami Sushi in Baton Rouge for the 4th of July to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. The restaurant confirmed our reservation online, and we even called ahead to double-confirm. When we arrived, we were told there was a special event and, despite being on their reservation list, we weren’t allowed in because we didn’t have a ticket for the event. There was no mention of this event on their website, and no one informed us at any point—not in the confirmation email, not on the phone call, and not on the website. We were simply turned away and told someone “must have messed up,” and that they couldn’t honor our reservation. It was incredibly disappointing, especially since we’re from out of state and had been really looking forward to celebrating a special evening here. Poor communication and a complete lack of accountability ruined what was supposed to be a memorable night.

Went to the July 4th event. I called the restaurant in advance prior to booking general admission tickets for the event. I was assured that if I bought tickets I was guaranteed a table and it would be reserved for us when we arrived. I let them know we would not be there for 7pm on the dot for the start of the event and asked again to ensure we would have our table for the entire event. I was again told that once they sold out of tables the tickets would be sold out. Buying a ticket would guarantee us a table for the entire event and we can come and go as we please. That was not the case. I paid 100 per ticket and no table was set for us. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were told it was first come first serve. We couldn’t even get chairs for seating to view the fireworks. Extremely misleading information from the restaurant and not worth the money I spent to attend. And of course tickets are non refundable even though they didn’t uphold what was promised.

This was our first time dining in. We sat outside to watch the sunset and it was beautiful! The staff were welcoming and attentive. The drinks satisfied our mood and the food was top tier. 10/10 I would absolutely recommend going!

Came to Tsunami tonight to enjoy sushi for my child's birthday, excited to celebrate with my family, and instead was met with disappointment. This is clearly not a family-friendly restaurant, as the ride host refused to seat us outside, citing a bad weather anticipation (the radar was clear and there were other patrons dining on the rooftop), and made us wait 20 minutes for a table, despite a booth being visibly open except for an electric scooter and promised a 15-minute wait on a Monday night waiting on an empty lobby. We were considering leaving until finally we were told our table was ready. We ordered appetizers, drinks, and entrées, and were enjoying ourselves until the host made us leave right before our entrées hit the table for unexplained reasons. I'm never coming back here and don't think anybody else should.

Prick host. Short chubby beardo with a LGBTQ beard and pony tail. So fun for top $ mediocre sushi.

So slow in service. Took over an hour to get our food. I love the cucumber roll, but most of my party did not enjoy their cuisine.

The rooftop terrace at this place is beautiful, great views of the river, bridge and nice buildings in the area.

Food was delicious and they had a good variety of both traditional and creative drinks.

Tsunami, as a non local was a challenge to find, located inside the arts building on the 6th floor. Has great places to sit and see the river. Prices were reasonable. Food was great and would be open to come back and try more!

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, as usual. But tonight our waitress, Ciara, made our small celebration so memorable and special. We will never forget the amazing meal spent with love all around us tonight. 10/10 recommend and make sure to ask for the precious Ciara!

We chose this location because of the outdoor view, which surely didn't disappoint. Our group found it a little hard to find the restaurant, but thankfully, another random patron guided us there. Our service was okay but also seemed very limited by food and drink services. I enjoyed my calamari fries, although they were cold and soggy. It took us 1 hour to get our drinks and another 45 to get our mediocre sushi. For the price, I do think that the food experience was underwhelming, but the view was one of a kind in Baton Rouge.
