amazing food & super friendly staff. The fried oyster platter was delicious and the yams were perfect !
I’m new to the vegan world, came here today for the first time and didn’t disappoint
Love the food it’s tasty always fresh and will leave you feeling satisfied. Good eats !
The food was good. Very fried, oily and heavy. Probably wouldn’t get again just cause it’s not our thing to eat that way tbh.
Great service, big portions, and lots of flavor. I always stop by VFF when I’m in Baton Rouge!
Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful space and fantastic food with several soy free options. I'll be back when I hit the BR! Updated from previous review on 2022-07-13
great great vegan soul food?can even count on their sides to satisfy me!
I always like to give all vegan restaurants 5 star reviews so this 3 star review is saying a lot. First, the plate was not worth $17. The food was decent but the portions are not worth that much. Second, the platter let’s you pick 4 options out of I think 7 items. I ordered jambalaya, dirty rice, beans and greens but when I opened my food I realized that the jambalaya was a rice dish, as was the dirty rice obviously and the beans had rice in them. I wish the person I ordered from had told me how much rice I was ordering. Lastly, they have a large nice outdoor patio but they don’t allow dogs. I have never heard of an outdoor patio that doesn’t allow dogs. Plus, I was the only one at the restaurant. Would not recommend this place.
Waited in traffic for 1 1/2 hrs and they kept our food warm for us! So good! Saved the beignets for the morning! The food was amazing and worth the wait!
The restaurant had a beautiful layout. Two grand entrances. The southern hospitality was out of the world. They definitely passed the vibe check! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Made an amazing mac and cheese.
Made an amazing mac and cheese.
We stopped in Baton Rouge to do some shopping and then just happened upon this restaurant. The wait time for the food was really long (because we arrived just after they had been slammed with customers), but the food was so worth it. We will definitely return when we pass through town again.
They easily rattled off the gf options none were the burgers, got red beans, rice, mashed taters and fries. Good but not unique or tons of flavor.
I bought seven things and everything was divine. Oh yeah, I order more to take home with me. The flavor was well balanced and not overwhelming. - BackSliding Vegan Burger: Plant-based patty, nut cheese, coconut bacon, sautéed onions, and avocado on a freshly baked bun. Served with your choice of side. -Mac & Cheese: Not GLUTEN FREE pasta and nut-based cheese sauce. -Mashed Potatoes -Jambalaya: Rice, fresh veggies, and plant-based sausage. choose two side items -Greens of The Day -Yams -Cornbread x2: Vegan cornbread Updated from previous review on 2021-09-22
