For the price they charge, I was expecting something better than what I got. The golden crust tasted like frozen dough. The sauce tasted cheap, and it hardly had any cheese on the pizza. I will usually give a place a couple of attempt, but I highly doubt I'll return.
Horrible. The pizza is awful. The sauce taste like watered down tomato sauce straight from the can. The pizza crust and sauce are both bland. I've had better frozen pizza than this. I couldn't eat it. I just wasted time and money. If I had ordered the side salad I'd at least have something with some flavor to eat. Unfortunately, I was told by the person who took my order not to bother ordering a salad because the to go containers for salad are so small. He said he wouldn't order one so I went with his suggestion. Save your time and money and taste buds and go somewhere else. Gross
I have been to Godfathers twice since they have opened. I have not gotten a consistent product on repeat visits. The first time was ok, the pizza was more or less what I expected. The second time however I was not happy with the pizza. First I feel that the pizza was very much over priced. A large pepperoni pizza and garlic bread with w drinks cost me just under $30 dollars not including tip. The price felt very high in comparison with other company's in the area. In addition the pizza was not very good. I did not bring the left overs home with me. It simply did not taste good enough to make me want to. In addition to that my girlfriend and myself have been having stomach issues since we ate there. It seems like this place is still going through a lot of growing pains. I would consider going again if the prices were to drop and the product gets more consistent.
First, let me say that I am a very fair and reasonable person. I hope that my review helps the business and customers both. I grew up loving Godfathers pizza. I got so excited when I saw that one was opening locally in Bossier City, that I started a countdown timer awaiting their grand opening. I was very disappointed. I totally understand they just opened with a new staff with very little experience, so the long wait times didn't bother me. (In fact I would gladly wait a couple of hours for a good quality pizza.) What bothers me most, is that the quality of the pizza isn't even close to what I expect from a Godfathers franchise. The cheese tastes like generic "bulk" cheese. The crust is no better than frozen pizza crust from the grocery store, and doesn't even slightly resemble the photos shown. It's nothing like the thick, "pan-style" crust I've known, loved, and expected from Godfathers. This was on the FIRST visit. Being a reasonable person, we tried ordering almost 2 weeks later, hoping that things got better, but nope... Still just as dissatisfying as the first order. 50 dollars for two good quality pizzas is not a problem. 50 dollars for two "frozen pizzas" from the grocery store is a major problem. Our second visit will probably be our last. This franchise needs to immediately get ahold of the quality issues before people turn away for good. I recommend that people spend their hard-earned money elsewhere, at least until this location gets their act together.
The first time we tried to get a pizza, the phone was never answered. We went in and the wait was over two hours, so we left. We tried them again on another day, we had to repeat ourselves 8 times to give them our information for delivery. The person on the phone never asked us if wanted to pay cash or card. The delivery guy gets to our house and states that we had to pay cash only. So he had to call the store and we had to reorder all over again. We finally get our pizza and it tasted really salty and dry ( maybe due to the thin crust). It was nasty and it made everyone in my house sick.
