Dined there a few weeks ago for the first time in many years. We were seated across from the bar even though there was available seating in the real dining area. Ordered oysters Rockefeller, which tasted nothing like any I’ve ever tasted, no spinach, anise, and the oysters were extremely small. Had lunch here today with my sisters. Some of the best gumbo I've EVER had bar none! Great seafood platter too!
We were traveling from TX to NC on the I-20 and wanted to find somewhere to eat that gave us a taste of the Louisiana culture! We decided to stop here and enjoyed every second! The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food was even better! We got half & half fried and blackened swamp bites (gator tail) and steaks that were so flavorful and juicy (mine topped with shrimp) and loaded baked potatoes. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!
