Poor Boy's Riverside Inn Reviews
We have spent our special occasions here for several years. The flavor and quality have diminished in our last three visits. We have taken them off of our go to list.
Made a reservation in advance through OpenTable app. as I was nervous because of having previously had problems with OpenTable, emailed for confirmation @LexiVoorhies replied back in no time confirming my reservation for our special occasion. Poorboy’s never disappoints us from the wonderful food to the top notch customer service we have become accustomed too.

Poor Boy's Riverside Inn is a beloved restaurant with a large cabin-style dining area filled with art and plants. The redefined Cajun cuisine features quality, flavorful seafood dishes like whole Grilled Flounder, crab & mushroom stuffed red fish, and pork chop dinner. Guests often enjoy alligator bites, crab cake balls, and sweet treats like sweet potato beignets and bread pudding, which is especially praised for its perfect balance of butter, sauce, and temperature. The service is friendly and efficient, with a welcoming atmosphere. Many visitors, including those from out of town, find it to be a must-visit spot and enjoy the consistently fresh and well-prepared food. It remains a favorite place for seafood lovers, often busy with happy diners.
The crab dishes are excellent, considered the best in town. The Crabmeat Imperial is superb, as are all the other seafood offerings. The atmosphere is unpretentious and comfortable, with a friendly service that feels almost like family. Guests can start with fabulous cocktails, then enjoy the delicious stuffed flounder and red fish, accompanied by warm yeast rolls. The bread pudding, with a hint of cinnamon, is the best ever. It's a wonderful restaurant, a lovely find, and a local favorite for celebrations.
