How is it that I didn't know about this place sooner? Great Homestyle breakfast and lunch menu! Really enjoyed the casual atmosphere and friendly service. The food was wonderful. Will make this a regular stop.
This place is great for some downtime cooking. Hence the name of the place. Love the breakfast. I had and recommend the boudin omelet that comes with grit or hash browns & biscuit or toast. I always aske for a bowl of sausage gravy for my biscuit. My wife had the grilled pork chops and eggs. Her pork chops were a little overcooked and tough. Our friend that joined us had the meat lovers omelet with hash browns and biscuits and gravy but had to send the biscuits and gravy back...read full review

Third time eating here. I have always gotten the Monte Cristo which is awesome. I decided on the chicken biscuit and it seemed as though it had been thawed and warmed up. The cheese was cold and the chicken tough. So disappointing. Our server (very sweet) second day on the job was doing her best, but we felt as though she should have been still training. She was so lost , but not her fault at all. It will be awhile before we go back.
