“Worth the relatively short trip from the busy NOLA scene aboard the RTA ferry (ride it and the red and green trolleys for $3/day?!). Quaint and VERY quiet neighborhood walk for about 10 mins. is worth it for a welcome siesta.
Spicy jalepeño margarita a
nd fish taco is so good.
Just do it... You'll love it and the break from crazy partyville for an afternoon!“

“We were looking for a quick lunch and came across this great Taco stand . The Seafood Taco was the hit in our group followed closely by the Pork Taco i recommend having them made as deluxe lots of good stuff added. The Margaritas were equally refreshing on a hot day. Costs were fair Tacos ranging in price from $3.50-$5.00 . They do have a 2nd location in NOLA if driving to Bay St Louis is to far.“

“Vibrant fun spot with great indoor/outdoor seating and good food and drinks. Dip trio was nice, particularly liked the queso, it was smooth with nice cheese flavor. Chips for me were perfection. Very thin and warm absolutely great. The shishito peppers were also a hit with our group. Not sure if we got several of the 1/10 hot ones or if it was the spices they were dusted with but they carried great heat. I really like empanadas and these did not disappoint. Perfectly golden brown, crispy and flaky crust with nice filling. Highly recommend. Some of our group really enjoyed the coconut rice but I unfortunately did not. I have never had it before so I can't say if this is what it typically tastes like. Great cocktails that did have some heat which was great. Will definitely return.“

“First time costumer and I was highly impressed. I ordered 3 shrimp tacos and 1 barbacoa quesadilla. Oh, I can’t forget about the drink! A Watermelon and pineapple mix, extra fresh!! Everything was a 10/10. Service was fast too. And I love that it wasn’t cash only. I will definitely be back.“

“I couldn't make it to the restaurant, so I went with DoorDash instead. I ordered steak tacos, churros, pineapple lemonade, and Cajun fries around 2 o'clock. Babe, it's seven now, and let me tell you I'm still full! But every bite was so flavorful.“

“Hands down this is the best taco truck in New Orleans. Great service. You can go spend 20 minutes in the drive-through at McDonald’s around the corner or you could get 100 times better quality food at this taco truck in less than 10 mins. Highly recommend. this is my go-to for lunch. Family owned, local people you should support. Cash only yes, and do leave a tip, these people work so hard and are there every damn day ready to feed me great authentic food.“
“Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take a before picture of the chicken quesadilla but I do have an after picture lol. That was by far one of the best quesadillas I’ve ever eaten. It’s spicy and very delicious. I wanted to take a picture of my food but it was so good that I couldn’t stop eating it. ? Also here’s a pic of the truck. When I come back, I will update a new picture of the chicken quesadilla plate before I eat it, probably tomorrow.“

“Favela Chic
In town for the first weekend of the 2025 New Orleans Jazz Festival, and after spending the morning and afternoon at the Festival I walked through Frenchmen Street (a few blocks from the French Market streetcar stop). The bar had just opened (it was around 6 p.m.) and the house band was tuning up when I walked past, as they covered the Allman Brothers’ Band’s You Don’t Love Me. Couldn’t pass that by, so I got an Abita and listened to the band for a few minutes.
Awesome atmosphere, excellent sound system, and a very talented band. Bar staff was very cool, as was the selection of bar goods. Open air location, in the heart of Frenchmen Street – excellent vibe. Laissez les bons temps rouler!“

“We decided to try them for lunch today! The tamales were fresh and so good. Allan had the agave burrito and I had the chicken enchilada and ranch hand taco. The place was clean, the service and food was excellent!“
