“Only reason they are getting 4 stars is because the food I had on my visit just wasn't very good.Now it was a lunch special and I've always heard good things about this place. But the gravy was terrible and the cornbread needs help. (I was told to get a different gravy next time. )We were offered our money back but we refused the offer. He liked his and I know I'm just picky.I will give them another shot. Because the staff was great. The offered to fix it, they offered every solution to rectify the situation.But I refused. I was already a good way into the food. And didn't feel like it was just so terrible that i needed a refund.Keep up the wonderful customer service!”

“We had the cheeseburger and fries for lunch and the 10 pound crawfish special for supper and everything was delicious. The crawfish were perfectly seasoned and they were huge. We will definitely be back.”

“Bateaux's is an hybrid between a gas station, fishing store, and homely restaurant, all accentuated by a great staff and bucolic lakeside location.The location itself merits stopping by and enjoying the view, perhaps taking a picture or three. The food itself is good, but the kindness and attentiveness of the servers and cooks that goes above and beyond makes it a wonderful place to visit.I ordered the Hwy 8 burger, which turned to be an amazing burger, and the staff was accommodating even if it wasn't the usual lunch time. And what a good burger that was!Yeah, definitely stop by if you're by the area.”

“The food is alright, but I really didn't like the fish. Other than the fish, the rest was good. The boat launch there has a wooden walkway/pier and it has cracks and a nailed down board on it from where it broke, and it's honestly kind of sketchy.. but we launch our boat on it all the time and never have any problems with it so I guess its ok..”
