“Bateaux's is an hybrid between a gas station, fishing store, and homely restaurant, all accentuated by a great staff and bucolic lakeside location.The location itself merits stopping by and enjoying the view, perhaps taking a picture or three. The food itself is good, but the kindness and attentiveness of the servers and cooks that goes above and beyond makes it a wonderful place to visit.I ordered the Hwy 8 burger, which turned to be an amazing burger, and the staff was accommodating even if it wasn't the usual lunch time. And what a good burger that was!Yeah, definitely stop by if you're by the area.”

“The selection was great. The menu is, of course, just about like every other lamex restaurant, but don't let that fool you. They do have a few different items to make them unique. I gave the service four stars only because our waitress must not have been having a good day. But I wouldn't hate on them at all. I've worked for a texmex so I can understand having good and bad days. I still tipped them, of course, because they still checked up on us as we ate. If ur in the area, you know where to go. They use Queso Blanco for the queso dip, which is personally my favorite. There street tacos are the best, too.”
