I have NO ideal how I’ve never heard of this place , I guess it’s because I live in Ponchatoula and don’t speak to many folks because I work most of the time .... But wow !!!! Not only the best Po-Boy I’ve “EVER” had the blessing to taste ... But what friendly folks you have working there as well !!! The bread .... Holy moly !!! Absolutely perfect for a Po-Boy!!! Semi crunchy on the outside but so soft on the inside .. and it doesn’t fall apart !! The shrimp and oysters were fried to protection !!! “This place is great. The food portions were really good, the food was seasoned just right and the service was superb. I was working night shift and woke up later than expected so I called last minute to order a catered meal for 25 people and they pulled it off!! While ordering, I informed the lady that if it couldn’t be done, I would just wait until the next day being it was my fault I called so late but they went above and beyond to make it happen!! Hands down would order from here anytime!!“

“Truly feels like you've been thrown back in time almost 200 years.
We stayed in one of the cottages called the Milkshed for our first year anniversary. A wonderful experience. My favorite part was having full access and being able to walk the grounds at night with no one there. ❤️❤️“

Beau was above and beyond (e.g. lagniappe for the cup of gumbo- KUDOS!) with prompt and attentive service, but a friendly and just too cute- demeanor that was mindful of my time (I was on a tour bus schedule), BUT did not rush my dining whatsoever- just absolutely great.

The Shrimp Po Boy was incredibly delicious and enjoyed the Abita to wash it down.

“I loved this place! The staff were friendly and the live music we were treated to music from a great cajun fiddler while we ate! The food was really good too! Delicious gumbo and the shrimp po boy was decent. If I had more time I would have opted for a dozen or more blue crabs that they had to offer, fresh out of the water! It’s really close to the Laurel and Oak Alley Plantations which makes it a great option for anyone going to tour those locations!! Highly recommend it!“

“For what could easily have just been a normal cafe tacked onto the plantation, we were really impressed by our lunch at this restaurant. Service was really friendly and quick (Hannah was lovely) and the food was so tasty. My wife had a blackened chicken sandwich with a side cup of chicken gumbo, and I tried the Cajun medley (red beans and rice with sausage, crawfish etoufee and chicken gumbo) which were all delicious, but particularly that gumbo. Definitely make time to stop for lunch here if you’re visiting the plantation.“
