Just visited the Covington location for the first time. Great experience! Wait staff was very attentive. Their chicken and andouille sausage gumbo was spot on. Highly recommend if you're craving a taste of Louisiana goodness!
We are from Louisiana and when we visit family in Covington, La we seem to always have dinner at the Acme Oyster House. I generally will get Gumbo or a shrimp poboy. My wife will almost always order the Soft Shell Crab Dinner. My sisteri-in-law and her husband have their favorite also.
Everything is fried. I would consider this an average restaurant. It's not a place where you should expect excellent food. It's average at best. The service was very good. Dessert was really good!
