We spent Tuesday afternoon listening to live music from 5-7 on the patio while sipping a wonderful Bordeaux recommended by our bartender. An excellent place to meet up after work and relax!
I recently visited the Cypress Bar and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. I’d give it 3 stars, but it really didn’t meet expectations. I ordered a whiskey sour, and while it was beautifully decorated with frothy egg white, the taste was off. It was far too sour, almost like they used cheap lemon flavoring. We also tried a mojito, which was again nicely presented, but the bartender added way too much sparkling water, which drowned out any hint of alcohol.

We have tried to go here before but don’t care to sit in the lobby on sofas with strangers, but this time after 5 minutes a top notch cocktail waitress got us a table in the bar. A local piano player was singing very Nolacentric music and was very good. My husband had a TOP NOTCH Old Fashioned with Luchardo? Cherries sure fire way to set the bar at top notch. Wine bottles 50% off at happy hour. The mid priced Cab I chose not an award winner ? IMO but nice. The only disappointment...
