We were in the Covington area and looking for a casual lunch place so decided to check out Fat Spoon Cafe. We started with the waffle fries and then got the cobb salad, the slider with fries and grilled cheese with tomato soup. the waffle fries were very good and the cobb salad was also good and a large portion. the tomato soup was good but the grilled cheese was average; the fries with the sliders were very good while the sliders were decent. overall a nice casual place for lunch. flavors were decent and portion size was good

Country fried steak with gravy is amazing. My wife had the stack with pork and she loves it. Great place for a quick breakfast with the family

Enjoyed breakfast on a Saturday morning, not too busy and the service was wonderful. I couldn't decide so I had the pecan waffle, grits, bacon and eggs. My partner had the shrimp omelet smothered in crawfish ettouffe. We both enjoyed our meals and agreed the grits were absolutely wonderful!

CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT FAT SPOON! The only negative is that it is SO far from me. Food great! Service great! Staff great! They know what they are doing and are consistent.

We tried the Fat Spoon Cafe for the first time today. It did not disappoint. It is a casual little cafe with a delicious menu. I had the roast beef poboy. It was amazing. Probably one of the best I have ever had. You can tell it is slow roasted and the Au Jus is so flavorful. My husband has the fried shrimp and fish and said it was delicious. If you get a salad definitely try the homemade blackberry vinaigrette. I could have drank it as a side! Definitely coming back to try brunch.

The debit charge I used just cleared the bank. The waitress that waited on me took $2.00 more for a tip than I left. I would think think this was a mistake but the same waitress did the same thing a while ago.

We went here after seeing the other reviews. It has been so long since I found a GOOD rueben sandwich. Until now. 😋 Good thing my momma wasn’t around or she would have gotten slapped. It was that good! My husband opted for a breakfast and said the grits were some of the best he had ever eaten as well. The place is clean, staff are friendly, and the food is too notch. Don’t walk by this place or you will be missing out!

I enjoy their food most of the time today I ordered takeout I picked it up and drove 20 minutes into the country to meet a friend for lunch and they put tomatoes when I said no tomatoes and the roast beef poboy didn't have enough gravy I asked for pickles and onions and they didn't put any and the toothpicks went through the bottom of the foam box making a mess

how can you ruin an omelette, over cooked and no seasoning. Paid extra for mushrooms and served without mushrooms.
