What a delicious Mexican restaurant in our area. Beautiful ambiance, delectable cuisine, and extraordinary hospitality. Owners and staff clearly take pride in their service. My Love and I were informed that recipes were family-based and made from scratch, daily. We could tell and could taste the superior difference in every bite. We will gladly drive the 40 minutes from New Orleans for such wonderful food at an unbelievable price point! Never change, Kantunil!

I very rarely leave negative reviews but my experience was so poor it demands acknowledgement. We waited quite literally 2 hours for our food. We received a half hearted apology from our server but given he only came back once every 45 minutes it fell on deaf ears. The fact that there was not even an attempt to comp something after this disastrous experience shows the absolute lack of care for their patrons. Any respectable restaurant would have had their manager out amongst the tables apologizing.

Where has this place been all of my life?? Everything was fantastic. The chips and salsas were delicious, homemade and warm. Service, drinks, food and pricing were all amazing. I ordered the steak fajitas and my wife ordered a steak burrito. Both were outstanding. Margaritas and Modelo on tap were great. We will be regulars.

Don’t even get me started on the margaritas—these are hands down the best I’ve ever had.
& the bathrooms are impeccably clean and luxurious, deserving of their own 5-star rating.

What a gem we found in Covington, LA!! Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, and fabulous customer service!! We had some of the best Mexican food we've ever had here. The tacos were amazing, especially the Pastor on home-made corn tortillas - YUM!! The poblano rice was flavorful, and the charro beans were tender and well seasoned. My husband had the Cazuela and everything was seasoned well and delicious right down to the bed of grilled onions. We plan to make it back as soon as possible so we can give their drink menu a try. Well done to the service staff for giving us an excellent experience. You made our day!! Thank you!!
