I was looking forward to dining at Lakewood after not visiting for seven years. This time, I was excited to bring my family along as we were celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing, with the best part being the time spent with my family rather than the meal itself.

Unfortunately batter on fish and onion rings was not seasoned at all. Fries tasted freezer burned. Hush puppies were hard as concrete. Fish strips were like little nuggets. If i order strips, I want strips not leftover pieces.Last 2 visits like this. I'm not going back. Service tho was great.

Lakewood Inn Restaurant is a friendly place with great service and good food. While some found the portions small and prices high, others absolutely loved everything about it. The alligator bits were tough, and some dishes lacked flavor, but overall, it's a family-friendly spot with ample parking and wheelchair accessibility. Despite minor complaints about restroom lighting, many are willing to make the drive again for another visit.
