I had the Ribs, smoke sausage, baked beans and potato salad. The Potato salad was not good to me but everything else was really really good.My complaint is the atmosphere, and service itself… definitely racist. If you’re black then skip this place. It’s a shame because the bbq itself was good! The price was a little over $20 but, they give you a good amount of food for what you are paying for.The racism and atmosphere was a turn off. Shrinkflation has hit this place hard... the portions are smaller, and the prices are higher... I waited in store for 26 minutes for my to-go order, that I already paid for. While two tables got their food before I got mine... finally they call for me, and the different girl behind the counter insists I didn't pay... They need to work on interpersonal communication if this happens so often... just tell the next cashier. "This is paid, and waiting" it ain't that hard.Used to be a great place to go for everything on the menu, the Ribs and Brisket still taste great, but paying $20-ish with taxes for 4 ribs, cheap frozen fries, and golfball size slab of mac and cheese.I won't be doing this again...

I ranked the food 4 stars. I feel like the portions got smaller. I recognize wirh inflation everyone suffers but I'd pay more for the previous portions I used to get.Other than that great service and good people.

Visited for the first time today. Nice little place - clean and the young man working the counter was polite and helpful. Received my food quickly. Ordered the beef brisket and pulled pork both of which were well seasoned, tender and juicy. They have a free food pantry on the inside. In my humble opinion, giving back to community and those less fortunate is a very noble and honorable thing. They are not the cheapest, but I get the impression they're trying to compete on price as much as they're trying to compete with vegetarian restaurants. Overall three thumbs up.

Ok, My wife and I went Friday evening for supper 8-11-23. Waited 35 minutes for our food, finally went to counter and asked what is taking so long. Cashier said they had a bunch of take outs. So does that mean I should have ordered over the phone to get my food faster? Then go sit at a table to eat? The other guy said they only had 1 person to cut the meat, 2 in the kitchen, and another teenager to fill orders. What about those who dine in? Do we have to wait 40-45 minutes to get our food? There was no manager or owner on site to make sure things were going smooth on a Friday evening. Finally a manager showed up and apologized and offered to get our food in another 10 minutes. What, wait another 10 minutes? I said NO you had all the time to put a piece of chicken and 1 side on a plate and you couldn't do that in 35 minutes. These teenagers cannot multi-task by filling orders to go and feeding dine in customers. 1. to slow 2. cannot multi-task 3. prices are ridicules 4. food not great. Since new owners food and service is not the same.

3 people behind the counter and only one other table of 2 waiting on food. 15 mins and still waiting. Not like they have to cook anything...slice the brisket, scoop potato salad. Good grief- Slow as hell. But probably taking care of phone orders first.
The place has a nice mural paint job on the wall and all but the inside still looks like a hole in the wall diner/grocery/food pantry that's located in a strip mall. The seating seems to had been replaced but there are still booths with torn up seats around. My son actually asked why they were storing the trash inside instead of bringing it out like we do at home.The prices here have gone from slightly above average to so overpriced we don't want to afford this place anymore. All the up charges and extras has made this restaurant unattainable for my little family. What we were paying $30 for this time last year cost us $75 over the past weekend. It was definitely not worth the new prices and the quantity of food received. You definitely don't get baked beans - what you do get is the juice the beans are cooked in with maybe 10 beans thrown in there. Won't do it again.You can find just as good of not better bbq up the street at Days Smokehouse or on Florida at Sonny's and we can afford to eat at those still.

I am not a BBQ person, my husband kept talking about his visits here. I was finally able to go...walked in and we were greeted by the owner and her wonderful staff. The owner guided my on ordering. I was craving a burger and they have THE absolute BEST!! We also got the smothered potatoes and the out of this world green beans. My husband got a bbq plate of fabulousness. This place was amazing. The atmosphere is downhome bbq. From the beginning of greeting and ordering from the staff to the last bite, it was southern charm at its best. I ordered the 3 meat plate with great meats sausage, chicken, and ribs. The ribs were excellent. Homemade macaroni and creamy coleslaw. My wife got loaded fries with pork and queso. There was so much she couldn't eat a third of it. They brought us some tallow taters to sample while we waited and they are so delicious. I recommend them next time it will be on my plate. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. Two thumbs way up.
