I have never been so full in my life! I needed to try some cuisine from Louisiana: gumbo, seafood étouffée, and jambalaya! So today, after reading some great reviews here on Yelp, I decided to go to Pot & Paddle. The girls that work there were very helpful! In addition to gumbo (no rice), I wanted to try the red beans (no rice), white beans (no rice), and coleslaw. So one of the girls recommended that I get the red bean dinner, as it comes with two sides, and to also get a container of gumbo to go. It was way more food than I actually wanted or needed, I was trying to just get small sides of each thing. But that's okay! It made for a great lunch and then a nice dinner later on! The red beans are absolutely addictive! Just thinking about them now while typing this, and my mouth is watering! The gumbo, white beans, and coleslaw are all equally delicious and definitely worth coming here to order! But there is something about those red beans that make me want to eat there everyday... yummy! The restaurant is clean, modern, and very bright and open. They have a little condiments table with packets of Louisiana hot sauce (two different brands), spices, salt, pepper, etc. I made sure to try both of the hot sauce packets and the spice packet. However, the food here doesn't need it. You know how some places NEED the extra help to liven up the food? Not here, it's already scrumptious!

todays date is 2/4/2024. At around 1:30, 1:40 my brother and I got some food. The same girl was working that always gives me incorrect change (and never once was her mistake in my favor). So again she shorts me on my change and then tries to throw my receipt away. (i mean does she think im stupid and i dont know how to count, i own 3 businesses, uhh i think i know how to count!) Anyway, this has happened multiple time with the same girl, i dont know her name, shes really small, she looks about 14 or 15 years old and has brown hair, its hard to tell. So as a business owner myself I dont tolerate theft, because like i said if it was an honest mistake then why none in my favor, this has happened multiple times with her as i said. Anyway i hope the owner sees this and does something about it because the next time i walk in there and shes working, i will make sure to make a scene and get in touch with the owner myself. In my opinion shes skimming customers for her own gain. I probably should of said something by now but i wanted to make sure of this.Parking: parking has never been an issue for me

Gumbo was flavorless. It's like it was made yesterday then they heated it up and added water to it. Very very thin gumbo. Like a soup. I won't be back.

I don't see how this place is still in business. Tried it twice thinking it got better. Got a to go order yesterday and got home and threw it in the garbage. Potato salad was un recognizable and un ediable. Gumbo was nothing but grease and not roux also un ediable. Jambalaya was completely dry and no flavor also un ediable. White beans were way too saltly and tasted like they came from a generic can with nothing added. Ordered an extra side salad for 2.00 and was only 2 fork bites which was a complete rip off. Roll was only good thing. Will never go there again and wasted 16 plus dollars on a meal not fit for my dog!!!!!

Everyone there was so nice and helpful. Coming from out of state it was fantastic to try authentic gumbo and jambalaya.

I got the 2 box. It's a lot of food, and the food is alright. The price was pretty cheap too. The jambalaya was alright. I think the rice was a bit mushy, and there was a lot more rice than meat. But it still tastes like jambalaya and it's a lot of food for the money. Good casual food for a good price.

The gumbo used to be good and a staple for us. However, 2 times now I have been served what has amounted to dirty dish water with Sausage and some chicken. If you run low you cannot just add water go gumbo to make it right. 2 times now I have thrown away my entire order.

Taylor, cashier, needs to learn customer service skills, but not only that, the lady in the back who’s name I didn’t get is just as bad to allow her to be so disrespectful and distasteful! I will never recommend this place to anyone!!

The food is just ok. I don't like spaghetti used for pastalaya. I prefer bow tie or penne pasta. Overall, I did not care for the food here.
