When I arrived, there wasn’t one open seat in the house. The servers apologized for the potential 45 minute wait. I decided to order to go, which took my wait time down to 30 minutes. They offered to get me something to drink, and they worked quickly to get my lunch ready. I ordered the fried shrimp, french fries, hush puppies and garlic bread, and it was worth every second that I waited. The shrimp were flavored perfectly. The batter was just right. The fries are so crispy on the outside that it crunches when you bite them, and they are perfectly tender on the inside. Amazing food! Amazing staff! 10/10 recommend!!

The food was fresh and cooked with perfection and love. I had the Poule Rouge, it was phenomenal. My mother had the fried shrimp platter, it was good. My father had the real roast beef poboy, it was good. My grandmother had the fried catfish platter, it was good. Our appetizer, fried okra was phenomenal. Our server and her service was pure waiting and worth while the wait. The food was fresh and hot when it got to the table. That's great service. I definitely recommend this place. Taste Of Louisiana Café. It was phenomenal. Descent walk from where we were at on the strip of town. We enjoyed it, 100%

TOLA was even better than I remembered! I had lunch here 4-5 years ago and it was very good-not sure why I haven't been back. Well, some friends of mine and I came here for our annual Christmas lunch and I am so glad we did! The customers were pretty steady as it was the Saturday before Christmas, but we never felt rushed and were well taken care of! Our waitress was a pro! Unfortunately, I don't remember her name We ordered the hurricane fries as an appetizer. Y'all! These are the BEST fries I've ever had-no joke! I know you're saying fries really? Yes, these fries were just the right size and crispy like nobody's business! The gravy was good, too, but if I had eaten nothing else , I would have been happy with just the fries. Everyone was happy with their order. 3 of us ordered the fried seafood basket-yum! One of us ordered a salad-I forget what it's called, but it had mixed greens, walnuts, shrimp and maybe feta and grapes? It was good! One of my friends and I had the catfish with etouffee-I think it's called catfish atchafalya? Super yummy! It had crispy catfish strips and a wonderful rendition of etouffee and rice with a couple of pieces of crispy, buttery garlic bread. Are you drooling yet? Well, you should be! I also tried the fried okra-so good! The hush puppies were ok not great, but no one should decide on a restaurant based on hush puppies lol. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on this sweet little hometown gem.

Pleasantly casual. Didn't catch name of our waitress (young blonde) but she was the only one and really making things happen!! Had lunch with friends. Food & service were great. We plan to return. I will bring my homemade rice krispy treats again.

Amazing! The best home cooked meal ever! Victoria was our server and just felt like one of the family. Highly recommend eating there and then walking around the antique village.
Tried this place out for the first time and it was very good. Waitress was wonderful also. I'll definitely be back.

Food was below average at best. Definitely cheap ingredients and frozen. The only thing "Louisiana" about this place was that it was located in Louisiana. I pray that no out of town visitors believe this is actual Louisiana Cuisine. Won't go back.
