When I arrived, there wasn’t one open seat in the house. The servers apologized for the potential 45 minute wait. I decided to order to go, which took my wait time down to 30 minutes. They offered to get me something to drink, and they worked quickly to get my lunch ready. I ordered the fried shrimp, french fries, hush puppies and garlic bread, and it was worth every second that I waited. The shrimp were flavored perfectly. The batter was just right. The fries are so crispy...
The food was fresh and cooked with perfection and love. I had the Poule Rouge, it was phenomenal. My mother had the fried shrimp platter, it was good. My father had the real roast beef poboy, it was good. My grandmother had the fried catfish platter, it was good. Our appetizer, fried okra was phenomenal. Our server and her service was pure waiting and worth while the wait. The food was fresh and hot when it got to the table. That's great service. I definitely recommend this...
Pleasantly casual. Didn't catch name of our waitress (young blonde) but she was the only one and really making things happen!! Had lunch with friends. Food & service were great. We plan to return. I will bring my homemade rice krispy treats again.
