“On our way to New Orleans, stumbled across this gem. When we pulled up and saw the exterior someone in our group said are we sure about this? And I said, oh yeah this is going to be good. We were not prepared for how good the food would be. But what made it even better was how welcome we felt by the good people that run this place. We had such a good time hearing stories and laughing with Bobo and the other members of the Shank Cat family. It felt like visiting an old friend's house. We tried a variety of items. But my favorites were the BbQ mac and cheese bowl and the BbQ Jambalaya that was a smoky ricy meaty delight. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. Don't let the exterior of this place scare you... If you drive on by you will miss a blessing of good food and good company.”

“Very nice truck stop. I see folks complaining about the parking but it really isn't too bad. The problem with the trash all over are some of my fellow truck driver. Ladies inside are pretty nice and friendly.”

“Hands down, best food in Shreveport. The staff is incredible, and it’s celiac friendly which is an extremely rare sight here in Shreveport. Plus their guacamole is out of this world. And oddly enough for a Mexican restaurant l, the French toast is spectacular!”

Even with that said, I don't know what's better, the food or INCREDIBLE service. Truly, absolutely Amazing food, amazing service, and AMAZING people making up the staff.

“I love this family owned restaurant and grocery store! I get all my meats here for the week and always grab a spaghetti too! The staff is so kind to me and the kids. “A Flavorful Feast with Room for Sweet Improvements

My recent dinner at Windrush was a delightful experience, largely due to the exceptionally well-prepared food. From start to finish, the dishes were a testament to masterful seasoning, arriving plentiful and absolutely bursting with flavor. Every bite was a genuine pleasure, showcasing a clear understanding of how to make ingredients sing.
The only minor stumble came with dessert. The beignets, while undeniably hot and fresh, would have benefited from a more generous dusting of powdered sugar to truly elevate their sweetness. A small personal preference, but I also would have loved for them to be served concurrently with my ice cream, as I had envisioned combining the two for a delectable hot-and-cold treat. Perhaps next time, I'll request this timing specifically.
Service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our waitress was a standout, proving to be both attentive and remarkably rapid in anticipating and fulfilling our needs. Her efficiency and pleasant demeanor truly enhanced the overall dining experience.
Despite the slight dessert quibble, the outstanding main courses and excellent service make Windrush Village Marketplace a highly recommended spot for anyone seeking a truly flavorful and satisfying meal. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!”

My fajitas were delicious and there was plenty of food for leftovers, but the menu price on your FB page and the actual price is different by over $10. “I took a long time to decide on writing this. I wanted to be fair. Compared to the pre-Covid bar it’s improved so much. The pool tables are new. I have yet to try any food except popcorn. We play there on Wednesday nights and the kitchen never seems to be open. BUT the bartenders and wait staff are so much nicer than the group from 2019. If you want a clean place to shoot pool this is great place come. Not fancy not youth oriented. Just a nice place to have a drink shoot pool and have good time.”

“Stopped by for lunch. The restaurant was clean, bathrooms were clean, the employees were friendly, & the food was delivered faster than expected. Chicken was juicy & the crinkle fries were thick. The wings usually come with the lemon pepper on them but we requested the seasoning seperate as we prefer a dry rub seasoning vs buttered sauces. Everything was great, would definitely visit again.”

“Just tried Marco’s Pizza for the first time. The staff was cool, and our pizza came surprisingly fast, still hot when we got home. Toppings, like bacon, ham, sausage, and pepperoni, were tasty, but the dough was kinda bland. Thinking of giving them another shot to try a different flavor though!”
