Hands down, best food in Shreveport. The staff is incredible, and it’s celiac friendly which is an extremely rare sight here in Shreveport. Plus their guacamole is out of this world. And oddly enough for a Mexican restaurant l, the French toast is spectacular!
This is one of my favorite restaurants and even when I don’t get to go as often as I would like, every time I go, the quality of the food and drinks is the best.
Today I went with my husband and toddler. We chose to eat outside because our son can get a little loud and wants to wander around.

Excellent dining experience here. Truly authentic and everything made from scratch, absolutely delicious. I had the el pollo asado, which was incredible. Chicken was moist and flavorful. Their salsas are seved warm with homemade tortilla chips, game changer. Wait staff attentive and friendly. Owner has another restaurant Zazul, equally fantastic. Will be back to both.

Everything is made from scratch, and the restaurant is 100% gluten-free with organic, non-GMO ingredients. The el pollo asado is incredible, with moist and flavorful chicken. Salsas are served warm with homemade tortilla chips, a game changer. Other popular meals include tamales, coffee, chicken verde enchiladas with rice and beans, hanger steak, and the Sunday special Tenderloin Enchiladas with potatoes and beans. The city salads are amazing. The atmosphere is great, in a nice neighborhood with a cute village-like location. Service is excellent with attentive, friendly, and lovely staff. El Cabo Verde is a safe, flavorful dining option for anyone seeking healthy, gluten-free meals.
