“The most insanely creative and amazingly delicious Mexican food on the planet. I live in Arizona, so I am no stranger to Mexican restaurants, but THIS place!!! My son lives in your town, and when visiting him, stopping for a meal at Ki’ Mexico is a MUST.“

“Really nice authentic Mexican restaurant. One of the best I’ve been to. Horchata es muy bien! Not loud but had great music that’s enjoyable for all. Food had a different spin to it but it was absolutely amazing. The salsa was even had a roasted Cheyanne pepper flavor that’s indescribably delicious. I will recommend this place to all of my friends. Depending on what you order it could take a bit of time but not too much, it’s worth the wait. These guys seem just like family, welcoming and friendly. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Gabriel Balderas and his crew are extremely good at what they do. Gabriel's adheres to a "Slow Food" philosophy that is evident in every aspect of the food that he serves. Scratch made dishes that respect the ingredients that he chooses from many local sources. Nixtamalizing corn for masa to make his corn tortillas in-house is the best example of taking the time and making the effort to get the best results.
Take your time, sit for a while, and enjoy any of the dishes that Gabriel and his staff prepare. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for a great meal, Chef!“

“Shout out to El Chico Cafe on Bert Kouns! I chose them to have my birthday lunch with family today. We called ahead at 11 and had a table for 15 ready and waiting for us when we got there at noon. I chose El Chico because it’s a restaurant that I went to a lot in my childhood and I kinda wanted some nostalgia today lol. The restaurant was short staffed and we knew this going in. We absolutely could not tell! Our waitress was superior! I can’t remember her name but she was on it and didn’t skip a beat. Every dish was correct and yummy. She kept our glasses full and even brought plates for our cake. We gave her a piece as well and she was so happy to get it. She brought out to go boxes without us asking. We never waited for anything. The food was great. It was just like I remembered. We had plenty of time to visit and laugh. Our waitress was engaging and happy and laughed with us as well. We used to have so many El Chico restaurants in Shreveport. It was a Tex-mex staple for our area for many, many years. I am 110% thrilled I chose here for this occasion today. It brought back a lot of memories for me and we had such a great time. If you haven’t visited El Chico in a while because we have so many new Mexican restaurants in the area, then it’s time to go back to a timeless and consistently great place that’s served our community for decades.“

“Stopped in for a late lunch with my wife. 1st time in since Cantina Laredo bailed out of the area. Our waiter, Cesar, was a breath of fresh air. Incredibly aware of delivering an attentive, comprehensive meal service experience. The Margaritas were fresh and excellent. My lovely partner had the Fish Tacos and said they were excellent. No pic, sorry, I wasn't fast enough. Same with my Enchiladas Tipicas. Cheese Enchiladas covered with steak and more cheese. Fresh and very tasty. Saved room for the dessert..their excellent "Xangos", cheesecake wrapped in a Tortilla drizzled with Carmel sauce accompanied by a scoop of ice cream topped with whipped cream and a lil side of warm chocolate sauce for pouring or dipping. All the servers looked busy and on top of their customers needs, I was also impressed by the manager's interactions with occupied tables and customers.
I was able to capture a couple of photos before packing it up (leaving with to go containers).
Highly recommend the dishes we ordered, our server, CESAR, the awesome dessert, and the ambiance during afternoon dining.“

“Wow, I cannot believe places like Taco Bell can still exist in the same town as a Dillas. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming to my wife and I, then the food was absolutely out of this world. My wife got hers packed with brisket and I got a Gorrila style Founders with hatch chili cheese fries on the side. It was all I could do to finish mine then I got to try my wifes and she also had the lime cilantro beans and it was all just absolutely delicious. They had great music playing, all the other customers were super friendly and it was just an overall great place to eat and I'm writing this review while sitting in the OMV waiting room because I know we are going back there for lunch today and I am CRAVING that chimichurri sauce and to try a new kind of Dilla! You guys truly have lightening in a bottle, this is the best food I have ever gotten out of a restaurant, not just a quesadilla. Bless every single person that works there, y'all are making magic for real. It's a weekly date for us now and will be as long as we're alive hahah!“

“I enjoyed my first time at this restaurant. I had the Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas; quite large and good flavor. The dipping sauce was great! I also had a side order of tortilla chips and homemade salsa—well-seasoned and not too spicy. I asked about their Limeade: made fresh every day. Good lime flavor and not too sweet. Overall, good food and excellent service. The restaurant has a casual and colorful vibe; comfortable to eat-in.
This is a new place on E. Bert Kouns, south of Shreveport. The name in Google Maps is a little confusing; I almost drove past it because I could only see the part of their building which had the words, “Primo Quesadillas.” The word “Dillas” is around the corner of the building (see photo).
Parking: Some of the free parking Is behind the building.“

“The food I get at Moe's always tastes great, no matter what. The service is really hit and miss. Today I walked in and asked the girl who took my order for a burrito with ground beef. She heated my tortilla, put it on the counter, and then just stared at me, blank-faced. I wasn't sure if she was ready for me to order or not for a split second, but the annoyed way she was staring at me, I reiterated my order. I got a tiny serving of ground beef and then she just stared at me again without a word. It was awkward, so I awkwardly asked for a lite amount of rice, and she sighed and seemed instantly annoyed by this. Maybe I'm in the wrong for not giving her the whole order off the bat, but it felt weird. At Chipotle they ask you about protein, then ask you about rice, then beans, then other toppings. Subway does something similar. So I tried to be a good customer and wait for any sort of a cue beyond a Kubrick stare, and it just would have been nice if I hadn't been made to feel like a pest for that.“

“Not the friendliest bunch of employees. They rather talk between themselves then help the guests. Waited 7 minutes before I was actually said hi to. Then a other 5 minutes to take my order. But the food was good. But they were a little skimpy on the meat.“
