“We were looking to dine somewhere we haven't been & found this restaurant on Google maps. This is a small restaurant tucked in a small building of offices that you can easily drive past if your not looking hard enough. We were greeted when we walked in & was able to sit anywhere we wanted. Restaurant was clean with a small dining area. We were offered drinks, menu, and we asked about the popular items on the menu. The waitress was very patient and informative about the menu. Everything we ordered came out hot & fresh from the kitchen. The boudin balls were hot with flavor. My wife ordered chicken & waffles. She enjoyed her plate, the wings were very good & fried to her liking. I had catfish & shrimp, the catfish was juicy & not over seasoned. The broccoli & cheese was a nice tasty side dish. While we ate, the owner came out & visited us. She talked about the menu & the business; while keeping us company while we ate. A very enjoyable experience! We definitely recommend to anybody in the area, if your looking for a new taste, or just want to support a small business. Looking forward to returning for some smothered porkchop on sunday.“

“I had chicken parmigiana from Carrabba's and fell asleep in the recliner. Don't ever do that. I dreamt I was back in high school.and was flunking my classes and wouldn't graduate, so I skipped my finals and went to some festival in the courtyard where I got my face painted with clown makeup so I could blend in and be incognito. As there was some shame associated with the flunking out. I met a cute charming woman who was also a midget. She was about 4'10" (same height as my 2nd ex/baby-mama) dressed as a jester for the weird end of school carnivale and we had a great time and when I said goodbye she jumped my bones, climbed me like a ladder and kissed me, and well, we did "it",and the lovemaking was awesome, like the nympho scene from porky's and In the afterglow I realized people could see us because we hadn't picked the most secluded area backstage and one of the voyeurs was a girl I crushed on in high school, and I was like, "oh, hey so and so, how are you?" Trying so hard to act like she didn't just watch me have midget clown whoopee with one of my ex's. And she was about to say something, but then I awoke with a start in my recliner. That was some rich food! Thanks Carrabba's! Great food, strangely cryptic yet satisfying dreams! I gotta eat there more often. The devil is in that chicken ya'll.“

My recent dinner at Windrush was a delightful experience, largely due to the exceptionally well-prepared food. From start to finish, the dishes were a testament to masterful seasoning, arriving plentiful and absolutely bursting with flavor. Every bite was a genuine pleasure, showcasing a clear understanding of how to make ingredients sing.
The only minor stumble came with dessert. The beignets, while undeniably hot and fresh, would have benefited from a more generous dusting of powdered sugar to truly elevate their sweetness. A small personal preference, but I also would have loved for them to be served concurrently with my ice cream, as I had envisioned combining the two for a delectable hot-and-cold treat. Perhaps next time, I'll request this timing specifically.
Service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our waitress was a standout, proving to be both attentive and remarkably rapid in anticipating and fulfilling our needs. Her efficiency and pleasant demeanor truly enhanced the overall dining experience.
Despite the slight dessert quibble, the outstanding main courses and excellent service make Windrush Village Marketplace a highly recommended spot for anyone seeking a truly flavorful and satisfying meal. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“

“Live out of town, been wanting to try there food. Ordered seafood platter Didn't want fries so lady taking order said would give e c tra slaw and tomatoe relish. Got home there was no fries and no slaw and no pickled tomatoes. Seafood had good taste. Ordered muffaleta. Tasted ok but had no olive relish on it. Little things but for price gotta speak of it. .“

“I'm from Alabama. I saw this restaurant on an episode of Restaurant Impossible and the family story really touched my heart. I just had to visit Eddie's Restaurant when my husband and I passed through Shreveport and they did not disappoint! I told them why I was there and they were so appreciative. We were treated like royalty! And the food was simply delicious! We brought family and friends with us and they all had rave reviews of the food and service. I could just feel the love of God in this family as they were so warm and friendly. I have been spreading the word and sending links to my family and friends!“

We decided to try Blind Tiger based on the many positive reviews, and it absolutely did not disappoint!

From the moment you walk in, the restaurant gives off a nostalgic, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. We were seated upstairs, which was perfect. If you’re looking for a little more privacy or have a larger group, I highly recommend requesting an upstairs table.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and our waitress, Lane, was outstanding. She checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The food arrived quickly, and everything was fresh and flavorful.

We ordered the Cajun Sampler, which included blackened catfish, fried crawfish, and étouffée, along with a cup of gumbo. We also shared the Mardi Gras corn and fried corn on the cob. Everything was delicious, but the gumbo was truly the star of the meal—hands down one of the best we’ve had!

Parking was easy as well. You can choose between garage parking or street parking, and we were able to park our F-450 dually on the street without any issues.

Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience with great food, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Blind Tiger to anyone visiting the area.“

“I normally stop by for lunch at least once a week. It's amazingly consistent. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite there, but the pimento cheese ( I'm a pimento cheese fanatic) is stellar! All of the soups are good, and the bread pudding( available the first week of the month only) is worth the calories and then some. The apple pie ( a la mode of course) is delectable, and, if you're lucky, you'll dine when they have coconut cream pie available. This place is a Shreveport treasure.“

“Whole Foods has lots of vegan options in their deli section but it’s kinda been limited as of 2024 due to certain federal laws that have changed how stores can sell store made vegan food. As of right now, Whole Foods can’t make their own vegan baked goods like cookies or brownies in the actual store. Despite this, they still offer vegan sushi’s, vegan pizza slices, and vegan options in the pre made deli section. They also offer many refrigerated vegan options.“

“The Library on Fern is an absolute gem! My husband and I dinned there yesterday. The food and drinks were excellent, and the service made the experience even better. Our waitress, McKenzie, was awesome, friendly, attentive, and on top of everything we needed. We were also impressed that both the manager and the owner personally checked on us during our visit. The manager even took time to chat with us and share some of the exciting upgrades coming soon. The newly renovated patio is beautiful, and we were lucky enough to be among the first guests to enjoy it. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. “The title of the review is "From micro to macro."1st paradox: on New Year's Eve schedule was from 5:30 to 10:00 PM. That was a poor idea, while it should be open at least to 12:30 AM and having TV's to watch the celebration from NYC. Very heavy menu tablet in terms of weight, and as a price (we understand the category of the place). The food did not exceed our expectations (small portions, but astronomical prices), and the quality of our order was not good for what you pay. There were no decorations related to the evening, which did not bring a holiday spirit. The management could offer a complementary drink as "welcome to New Year's Eve celebration (just a thought and recommendation). We understand that the restaurant is not a fast food or cafeteria, and the purpose of this review is to send a message to the management suggesting improvement in food quality and prices, as well as to let other customers to do their homework before make decision. In one word, I am with mixed feelings about whether I recommend this place to others or not. Good luck!“

“Minden location ❤️ HUGE shout out to one of our favorite local restaurants in Minden! I placed an order for pickup this evening with the impression that Sean would be back in time with our vehicle to pick it up before closing. As luck would have it, he got held up and wasn't going to be able to make it back in time. So I called the restaurant, in a panic 🥴, 10 minutes before closing and asked if I could pay someone to bring it to our shop which is about 1 mile away. Without hesitation, they said one of their workers would! A few minutes later, Michael (one of their waiters) showed up with a HUGE smile on his face and delivered our food! I seriously CANNOT express how grateful I am for the kindness of this business and their waiter who took the time to make sure I received our food after a long busy day for everyone. Folks, THIS is one of the BEST examples of what customer service and amazing hospitality is. Instead of choosing to say "tough luck, hate it for ya", they chose to go above and beyond by saying, "don't stress, we've got you!" We need more businesses like this. We need to support LOCAL more than we do. These businesses depend on us keeping it local. I can promise you that El Jimadore will continue to have our lifelong business and I will make sure to always ask for Michael when he's available.
