“This restaurant is TOP TIER! The food was amazing! We loved the Ragin’ Redfish with the lemon butter sauce. We had Madison as our waitress and I have to say, she did outstanding! Always made sure our drinks were filled and there were smiles on our faces! Will definitely be coming back!“

Red beans rice w sausage very good. Sausage not spicy but flavorful. 2/10 spice. Delicious.

Hot cornbread w butter, honey on request very good.

Bread pudding outstanding. Not overly sweet, served hot. A taste bud bonanza.

“Visitor from out town. Food was really GOOD the Cole slaw had a lasting NEW taste. Make great health snack. The hush puppies has extra ingredients and crispy soft taste. Tried their shrimp and fish. The fish had a light color crisp crust just right. The shrimp had a small amount of crust; next order I would request for just bit more of the tasty crust on shimp. The red beans and rice was so good with nice taste in the juice. Most meals comes will fries; but from healthy next I time would love to switch fries for the unique tasting Cole slaw instead. Food is not greasy but hot, quick. For the outside patio would suggest cleaning the seats and tables and checking seating area for trash. But Marilynn's is worth more visits.“

My recent dinner at Windrush was a delightful experience, largely due to the exceptionally well-prepared food. From start to finish, the dishes were a testament to masterful seasoning, arriving plentiful and absolutely bursting with flavor. Every bite was a genuine pleasure, showcasing a clear understanding of how to make ingredients sing.
The only minor stumble came with dessert. The beignets, while undeniably hot and fresh, would have benefited from a more generous dusting of powdered sugar to truly elevate their sweetness. A small personal preference, but I also would have loved for them to be served concurrently with my ice cream, as I had envisioned combining the two for a delectable hot-and-cold treat. Perhaps next time, I'll request this timing specifically.
Service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our waitress was a standout, proving to be both attentive and remarkably rapid in anticipating and fulfilling our needs. Her efficiency and pleasant demeanor truly enhanced the overall dining experience.
Despite the slight dessert quibble, the outstanding main courses and excellent service make Windrush Village Marketplace a highly recommended spot for anyone seeking a truly flavorful and satisfying meal. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!“

“Live out of town, been wanting to try there food. Ordered seafood platter Didn't want fries so lady taking order said would give e c tra slaw and tomatoe relish. Got home there was no fries and no slaw and no pickled tomatoes. Seafood had good taste. Ordered muffaleta. Tasted ok but had no olive relish on it. Little things but for price gotta speak of it. .“

“I normally stop by for lunch at least once a week. It's amazingly consistent. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite there, but the pimento cheese ( I'm a pimento cheese fanatic) is stellar! All of the soups are good, and the bread pudding( available the first week of the month only) is worth the calories and then some. The apple pie ( a la mode of course) is delectable, and, if you're lucky, you'll dine when they have coconut cream pie available. This place is a Shreveport treasure.“

“In town for a wedding and was craving some good Cajun food. I found Sugar Lou's via google. It was a little difficult to find as it was inside an office building but the effort to find it was so worth it. I love asking restaurants their recommendations and seeing what comes out and Sugar Lou's did not disappoint at all. The catfish Po boy with fries was some of the best catfish I have ever had. The greens also are something I'd make another trip to Shreveport for. The young man (Caleb, I hope I spelled his name right) behind the counter was extremely nice, friendly and extremely proud of his work (as he should be). I really have to say this place is a gem and well worth the trip. Keep up the great work Caleb, just slow down and enjoy it when you can. I promise I will be back.“
