“Service is always warm and inviting, good ole down home place, it is small so do not plan on dining in. I come for the smoked meats, that chicken and brisket has never let me down. The desserts have always been quite tasty. I usually try different sides on each visit not a bad experience to date.“

“Attended a high school graduation brunch at this business on Saturday May 16, 2026. The food was fantastic! And the staff was on top of their game, keeping fresh food on the tables, refilling drinks and handling the empty dishes. Highly recommend this place!“

“My husband and I had an eye appointment Monday afternoon and had plans of eating dinner early because we were starving afterwards.I was so hungry for a chicken fried steak and couldn’t find a good place to eat.What we did find was a gem of a find…It was the best chicken fried steak in Shreveport…The name of the gem we found was “Windrush Grill”.If you haven’t tried this place on the southern loop you really need to.I give it more than 5 stars.Thr place was clean and our waitress was super friendly…“

“Visitor from out town. Food was really GOOD the Cole slaw had a lasting NEW taste. Make great health snack. The hush puppies has extra ingredients and crispy soft taste. Tried their shrimp and fish. The fish had a light color crisp crust just right. The shrimp had a small amount of crust; next order I would request for just bit more of the tasty crust on shimp. The red beans and rice was so good with nice taste in the juice. Most meals comes will fries; but from healthy next I time would love to switch fries for the unique tasting Cole slaw instead. Food is not greasy but hot, quick. For the outside patio would suggest cleaning the seats and tables and checking seating area for trash. But Marilynn's is worth more visits.“

“Our church had Bistro to Go cater an event with 1400+ box lunches. 3 different options were chosen and they were delicious, fresh, had a beautiful presentation, and were delivered on time with perfect organization. I honestly don’t know how they did it, but they did! They were so good, that a lot of us that stayed late at the event ate one again at dinner. The wraps were delicious, the salad was incredible, it was just perfect. I cannot recommend them enough for catering!“

“In town for a wedding and was craving some good Cajun food. I found Sugar Lou's via google. It was a little difficult to find as it was inside an office building but the effort to find it was so worth it. I love asking restaurants their recommendations and seeing what comes out and Sugar Lou's did not disappoint at all. The catfish Po boy with fries was some of the best catfish I have ever had. The greens also are something I'd make another trip to Shreveport for. The young man (Caleb, I hope I spelled his name right) behind the counter was extremely nice, friendly and extremely proud of his work (as he should be). I really have to say this place is a gem and well worth the trip. Keep up the great work Caleb, just slow down and enjoy it when you can. I promise I will be back.“

“We are repeat customers for a few years. THIS YEAR is our 1st to ORDER TURKEYS. We ordered 1 smoked & 1 roasted. Both were moist, delicious & well worth the price & worth our drive (40 min 1 way). Also this is supporting local 100%. Ms. Karen, Eric & Mrs Kay are the best cooking crew ever!“

“The food is good but they always mess up the extra stuff you request and the add-on stuff you ask for and pay for and you get nothing. It’s ridiculous. Can you read a ticket? The people on the phone are unfamiliar with the menu. Ordered tonight. Dissatisfied. Lost money because I didn’t get what I ordered.“

“One of the best soul food meals I’ve had in a long time. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. As soon as I walked in, the aroma reminded me of my mom’s cooking, which made the experience even more special. I’m on a diet, so I can’t come as often as I’d like, but I’ll definitely visit whenever I can. They’ve gained a loyal customer in me. If you haven’t tried this place yet, it’s absolutely worth a visit.“
