“I have no idea how or why their reviewing rating is so low. I went in last night and got fried wantons, egg rolls, and spring rolls. My entrees were noodles (dont remember what.kind), and fried rice. The chicken spring rolls were amazing. All the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. I should have taken pics, but I was eating. ? I will definitely be back.“

“Service is always warm and inviting, good ole down home place, it is small so do not plan on dining in. I come for the smoked meats, that chicken and brisket has never let me down. The desserts have always been quite tasty. I usually try different sides on each visit not a bad experience to date.“
“Delicious soul food.The chef/owner is the last surviving employee of the classic Freeman & Harris Café who's still in the eatery business. Unlike other places run by progeny of F&H chefs & employees, Chef Pinto didn't try to just duplicate the classic F&H stuffed shrimp recipe—he improved on it!“

“Found a seat immediately but the wait was 15 minutes before they came to our table and took our drink order. Other people who came after us were served before us. It was a little aggravating but the manager came over and apologized. Other than that, the food was amazing. The tuna, steak and child’s wings were cooked to perfection.
Queso with chorizo appetizer was great with plenty of chips. Would go back again and hope the wait is not as long.“

“Visitor from out town. Food was really GOOD the Cole slaw had a lasting NEW taste. Make great health snack. The hush puppies has extra ingredients and crispy soft taste. Tried their shrimp and fish. The fish had a light color crisp crust just right. The shrimp had a small amount of crust; next order I would request for just bit more of the tasty crust on shimp. The red beans and rice was so good with nice taste in the juice. Most meals comes will fries; but from healthy next I time would love to switch fries for the unique tasting Cole slaw instead. Food is not greasy but hot, quick. For the outside patio would suggest cleaning the seats and tables and checking seating area for trash. But Marilynn's is worth more visits.“

“The staff was very polite and kind. The food was amazing, the beans and rice especially was simply delicious and the wait time was less than 10 minutes. It was my first road trip to Louisiana and when I visit again I'll definitely order again.“

“Our church had Bistro to Go cater an event with 1400+ box lunches. 3 different options were chosen and they were delicious, fresh, had a beautiful presentation, and were delivered on time with perfect organization. I honestly don’t know how they did it, but they did! They were so good, that a lot of us that stayed late at the event ate one again at dinner. The wraps were delicious, the salad was incredible, it was just perfect. I cannot recommend them enough for catering!“

“So the lady that works the cash register is so down to earth and friendly! Everytime I go in we have the best conversations. She has even committed my call in order to memory and corrects me when I leave something off! Now that's what I call great customer service! Be sure to visit the one on 70th street across from Godwill you won't regret it!“

“The food is good but they always mess up the extra stuff you request and the add-on stuff you ask for and pay for and you get nothing. It’s ridiculous. Can you read a ticket? The people on the phone are unfamiliar with the menu. Ordered tonight. Dissatisfied. Lost money because I didn’t get what I ordered.“

“5 Starts!!!!! The food we ordered was so delicious!!! Both my husband and I had the Patty Melts with fries. Talk about scrumptious goodness!!! We highly recommend eating here!! The owner is an amazing cook and so friendly!! We will definitely come eat here again when we visit Shreveport. A++++“

“Exactly what you want from a diner that been open since the 1930’s. Family run, quaint, old fashioned, boasting hearty homestyle cooking. If you’re a local and you haven’t dined here, quit living under a rock. If you’re traveling, it’s right off the interstate. There is a large parking lot hiding behind the gem itself. Seat yourself at either the long sit-down counter lined with swivel stools where you can chat with the friendly cook as he grills or you can cozy up in a booth. The menu has an extensive variety of options. They still offer the original Cotton Boll southern comfort traditional diner meals and pies; you know the kind, the ones that make you feel like you’re eating at your grandmother’s house. They’ve also recently added new thrills to the menu, like Jill’s not-famous-enough (yet) muffuletta, shrimp and grits (the picture alone makes you drool), and a new fan favorite Monte Cristo. The staff here genuinely cares about their guests. Prompt, attentive, and pleasant while making you feel like you’ve known them for years (and maybe they have). They are truly happy and grateful for your service, and you’ll feel the same way after you dine there.“

“Great food, customer service, and food delivery time. The only hang-up is that they don't allow dine-in. Their soul food is a beast! They also offer peach cobbler and peanut butter cake for dessert.
Parking: No parking or dining in at all.“

My first experience was a great experience.Good vibes with professional staffing, welcoming atmosphere.I had the seafood stuffed shrimp?????,plus a dozen of original shrimp.Food was seasoned well,not overbearing.This will be a top pick for choice of seafood.Looking forward to return.“
