“Thank you Mr. TJ, for an amazing dining experience! We are still mind blown at the quality and flavors of our lunch. This little gem of a restaurant is clean and efficient. First, I was in awe of the service; I called to check that they were opened for lunch and Mr. TJ texted me their menu ahead of time. The extensive menu made it so hard to decide what to get but we got: gumbo, smothered oxtail with southern greens and candied yams, and chicken wings with cajun fries and cabbage. You can taste the care and passion put into the food. The oxtail was so tender and every bite a flavor explosion. The gumbo was spicy and filling. The wings, crispy and tender, just wonderful! Mr. TJ said some of these recipes have been in his family 4 generations! Every dish tastes homemade, like something your mom or grandma has made. If you're in the Texarkana area, you must stop in! Also, the sweet tea is the best I've ever had and perfect to go with your meal! Thank you for a wonderful meal!“
“My wife and I came to Texarkana to run a few errands and grab a bite to eat. Seafood was on her mind so we decided to stop here. This place had some of the best waitstaff and a great bartender. The drinks were perfect and the platters we had tasted amazing. It was some of the best seafood we have had in awhile. John was our waiter tonight, he was awesome and recommend having him serve you.“
“Bayou Bens never disappoints with price, quality, customer service, or convenience. Ordered 45 lbs for a boil in DeQueen & everyone was impressed. The bugs were HUGE, the dipping sauce was on point, and the beer was cold. I refuse to do business anywhere else. This one marks another great BBC experience for the books.“
“This was our first time here, went on a Sunday at lunch time, sides were cooked to perfection. Chicken tenders were good. Catfish wasn't cleaned well, but it was decent. Headless shrimp were cooked good and peeled clean. Server was very attentive to us. There were hardly any other customers when we came in, atmosphere was nice.“
“We are from South LA and have eaten crawfish from New Orleans to past Lafayette and every Cajun town in between. The crawfish at Hot Tails blew us away. All three of us agreed these were hands down the best bugs we have ever eaten. They were perfectly spicy with the most juice and flavor we've ever tasted. They are so clean too! We wiped out 15lbs and took 20 home to share. We are here for a horse show and will return next year to enjoy Hot Tails again. Also, the place is cute and fun with a great vibe. The owners and employees were also super cool!! If you want the best crawfish ever, get to Hot Tails!!“
“It was my birthday. I took five of my granddaughters and two boyfriends.we had great food and the service was excellent too. My girls love good steak. Yeah it cost me a little over three hundred. But, ever one had nice ribeye or fillet. One boyfriend had fish.he said it was really good. We will do this again. It was the girls first time here. They have a new favorite place to get steak. I don't mind paying for quality. That's what we got. I have been here a few times it never disappoints. We just need a reason to go.“
“Excellent place to stop and eat. Very nice folks and the food was perfect! We ordered the Swamp platter and MAN was it delicious! Catfish, shrimp, hushpuppies, gator tail, fries, slaw, beans and a relish tray. You will not be disappointed in this local owned restaurant. We arrived at 5pm, which is their afternoon opening time, and within just a little bit, the place was filling up with people eager to taste the wonderfully cooked meals. We will be going back soon! Cajun food at its finest!“
“We hadn’t been for almost a year until tonight due to slow service, food not great, etc. Decided to give it another try tonight. So glad we did. Our server (Addy) was excellent. Food was out quick and delicious. Drinks refilled without asking. Everything you expect when you go out to eat. We will definitely be back soon.“
