“On our way to New Orleans, stumbled across this gem. When we pulled up and saw the exterior someone in our group said are we sure about this? And I said, oh yeah this is going to be good. We were not prepared for how good the food would be. But what made it even better was how welcome we felt by the good people that run this place. We had such a good time hearing stories and laughing with Bobo and the other members of the Shank Cat family. It felt like visiting an old friend's house. We tried a variety of items. But my favorites were the BbQ mac and cheese bowl and the BbQ Jambalaya that was a smoky ricy meaty delight. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. Don't let the exterior of this place scare you... If you drive on by you will miss a blessing of good food and good company.“

“Rain affected the food being ready due to wet wood but the owner Greg fixed us a complimentary plate for the road trip to hold us over.. Traveling from Waxo to Baton Rouge. He was so kind, giving and food was so delicious and asked nothing in return.
Hopefully can go back next years trip. You will not be disappointed, go eat here!!!“
