Chicken Wings near Gramercy

“We were looking for a quick dinner tonight and since we have never had Popeye’s we swung into this location. I wish I had gotten some of the employees names but we didn’t. The young lady who took our order was very patient with us as it was our first time at a Popeye’s. She was adorable to us. So helpful. The young man who gave us our food was a sweet human. After we drove away we realized we didn’t have a sandwich. So we went back. Started at the drive through again. “She said, “Oh yeah! You forgot your sandwich, we were trying to catch you”. We pulled up to the window and everyone was just so cute. They were all obviously so happy to see us come back. The employees that were working tonight (5/4/26) Deserve a big kudos. It was so great to see a group of young people working hard and caring about their customers. So even though I don’t know any of their names, I want to thank each of them personally. PS: the food was great too. We will definitely visit a Popeye’s again while traveling. ❤️“

“The Chicken Lady absolutely blew me away. In a state I’m not even originally from, where chicken spots are everywhere and good chicken is not exactly hard to find, these small chicken nuggets and fries still stood out as some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The nuggets were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and downright addictive, and the fries were exactly what they needed to be: hot, crisp, and impossible to stop eating.

But what really made this place unforgettable was the kindness and integrity behind the counter. I accidentally left my cell phone and some personal cards at a table, and when I came back the next day, she had my phone fully charged and in-hand, waiting for me with a smile on her face. That kind of honesty and care is rare, and it says everything about the kind of business this is.

Great food is one thing. Great people are another. The Chicken Lady has both, and that is exactly why I’ll be back.“
