Hammond has 4 waffle houses. I'm guessing this one is mostly for people passing through on I12. It's definitely the most convenient one if that's you. But this is definitely the worst of the 4 waffle houses in Hammond. The service isn't good, but I wouldn't call it terrible. They weren't rude, just slow. What really sticks out is that it's super dirty. Not everything HAS to be sticky.Also I don't know if she was a manager, she was dressed differently than the rest of the workers....read full review
The food was really good especially the blueberry waffle. The restaurant was tidy. Our server was very kind. Management was making register repairs that day so it was cash only, which we were told early. It was a really good visit. I'd recommend this location. Trucker friendly - there's big truck parking at the Loves (I think it was a Loves) next door.
These 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️belong to Dixie (aka Mawmaw Pickle) for saving us from walking out. Dixie was quick to refill coffee, her section was clean, she was kind, and even asked if we needed refills! I know that’s usual good customer service but after moving out of one section to hers, it was a beam of sunshine!!The lack of service from the other waitress (aka KK) was SMH ridiculous: Barely wiped the table (when had to ask her to do it), wouldn’t refill...read full review
