Kim's Vietnamese & Chinese Kitchen is a casual restaurant with a decent selection of menu items. First impressions can feel dead and a little strange, with an awkward, uncomfortably quiet atmosphere, but the food is worth the wait. The food is delicious and fresh, with generous portion sizes. The Mango salad is excellent, as are the various Com Tam rice dishes. The Pho is great and on par with more expensive restaurants. Other good items include the garlic noodles, grilled pork spring rolls, vermicelli noodle bowl with egg rolls, crab lagoon, Thai salad, roasted duck, calamari, salt and pepper fried chicken, combination crispy egg noodles, and a special combination egg noodle soup. The service is incredibly friendly and makes you feel like family, though it can be a little slow with a very large party. This place is the real deal, closest to the flavors you can get in Vietnam, with a huge variety of dishes and drinks like the sour plum soda.
