Took over 40 minutes from when I order a pulled pork sandwich until I received it. There is no acceptable reason for this. The manager had the audacity to tell me they were busier than normal as the reason for me waiting over 20 minutes after arriving after my order was already supposed to be ready. I won’t be going back anytime soon!

We came to Houma for a pageant my niece was in on February 8th 2025 ! I came from New Orleans and baby let me tell ya the bbq was absolutely amazing ! the lady at the front counter recommended the jambalaya and the backed Mac it was delicious. Very nice lady the customer service was on point . We went to our table where we were met by the best waitress ! she was phenomenal and very helpful she also had the best attitude I can’t remember her name but it may have started with an x I think or maybe a z but she had vwry short blond hair ! Just want to send a Hugh shot out to her great job girl and like I said the bbq was phenomenal I loved the atmosphere and experience ! We be back if I’m ever in Houma again !!

We went eat Big Mikes Nov 21,2024. we were disappointed 😞. My hubby usually loves their green beans but tonight they were old and not good..wasn't smothered like it use to be ..they were roasted. also the meats wasn't like it use to be either. we were told on the phone if we didn't want the sandwich slice bread we can get the buns..so we got the buns..it was hamburger buns and charged us 3.58 for them. also she told me the grilled shrimp skrews were 5.99 a piece I ask for 2..charged me a 2 meat combo which was 19.99 ..should of been 12.00+tax ..and the beer was HOT. Won't be going back, very very disappointed 😞! idk why restaurants change things that are good..if it's not broken don't fix it!

Did a pickup order, and it was hot and ready when I arrived! The ribs and turkey were fantastic, Cole Slaw and Jambalaya were very tasty. Bbq sause is good, and I'm picky since i make my own.
The food was good but the service was horrible I was the only in there and it took 30 minutes for my food and the food was ready it was just sitting there I love this place but I won’t be back

I haven't had BBQ in awhile and Big Mike's hit the spot! We ordered the spare rib plates. The ribs were good. It comes with some sauce on them but they have bottles of sauce on the table. I personal like my sauce to be thick but theirs was on the thin side. However it did taste good. The mac & cheese was so good! The green beans was, which can be a gamble at some places was the best I had in a long time! My wife had the baked beans but I forgot to ask her for a taste and before I knew it it was gone! We did have some issues with our orders at first(I had to wait awhile for mine) but that was mostly our fault. We had 12 in our party. When we ordered some of us didn't let them know we were altogether at one table so we had multiple order numbers with multiple orders on some. But our server was the best! She was so awesome! In fact we all were impressed with the whole staff that day!

I ordered the Pit Plate Combo - 2 meats & 2 sides - I chose the brisket & turkey and coleslaw & green beans. I also got an iced tea and a piece of sweet potato pie.
The service was excellent ... friendly, fast, and informative when I asked a question.
I always try the meats un-sauced first, and they were excellent! The coleslaw was good, but the green beans were fabulous. I expected standard BBQ joint fare, but nope. These were blistered instead, weren't mushy, and had a great flavor! I'd come back just for them.
The sweet potato pie was nice, but I wouldn't order it again. Too sweet and not sweet potato-ish enough for me.
I'll be back when I'm in the area!

Big Mike's BBQ has been our go-to BBQ spot for years. Today's lunch was one more win. It did not disappoint. I got the half rack of ribs with coleslaw and mac-n-cheese. First, both of those sides are top-notch. The crispy, creamy, tangy-sweet coleslaw is some of the best in town. And the creamy, cheesy M-n-C.. mmmmm! It's also some of the greatest I've tasted. Both of those, imo, are perfect pairs to the tender, juicy, smokey, and flavorful baby back ribs. I don't always eat the plain white bread. But, when I put a few pieces of rib dripping with Big Mike's famous BBQ sauce on a slice, it becomes a fantastic sandwich. Then, I easily pull a single, smooth bone off the half rack, nibble the ends off, and make one more. There's easily enough to make 2 meals in this box. My wife had the 2 Meat Combo with a double side of jambalaya. The pulled pork is always perfectly seasoned and cooked, as well as the juicy, smokey brisket. She doubled the jambalaya sides because it is just that good! It's her comfort food. If you know Big Mike's, you know how good it is. If you haven't tried it yet, it's about time you did. You'll be doing yourself a big favor.
I always enjoy big Mike's but especially when coming back from a boat ride... burgers are no joke fyi
