“Checked out this hidden gem for coolinary month! 3 courses for $36 was a fantastic deal! Cocktails and food were delicious. My favorite items were the dill cracklins, shrimp gnocchi, and chocolate torte. I hope they open on Saturdays soon. Will be back!“

“Excellent service and truly one of the best gumbos our family has ever had! The owner is a very kind and welcoming man. We had a big weekend with a family wedding, and it meant a lot to have such delicious, consistent food during such a special time.
It was my mother’s first time attending a Portuguese wedding—since we’re Brazilian, it was a beautiful and meaningful cultural experience for her. Thank you for helping make this celebration even more memorable for our whole family, especially for my cousin and her husband. We really appreciate the warmth and the quality you bring. My cousin, who is like married to a A list celebrity and, I am blessed to work for her is a high up in our family flew us all in and this was a big weekend for all of us. The food was amazing thanks chef Ron we came all the way from Florida the consistency every single time is amazing food and service.

“Gentleman that took my order over the phone was very helpful and professional. My order was ready when I arrived to pick it up just over 10 minutes later and the food was delicious. I ordered a fried shrimp poboy and the bread was super fresh, the shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, nice size and well portioned. I also ordered a side of fries and they were plentiful, crispy and well seasoned. Highly recommend. Great neighborhood spot!“

“We stumbled upon Gus’s after shopping at the outlets on Riverwalk. The reviews were strong and fried chicken sounded perfect for lunch. Their chicken is hands down the best fried chicken I’ve ever had at a restaurant! It was also a great price - and for those who have visited NOLA before, you know it can be a pricey city! You must try it!“

“I have had nearly everything off the menu and the quality of the food continuously impresses me! It's hard to find a place focused on quality ingredients even down to the oils they are using. I feel good about eating out here though as I don't feel I'm compromising taste or my long term health! Food is seasoned so well - not the usual bland healthy food. Highly recommend the mashed potatoes, hummus, chicken sandwich and wrap, and their cocktails!“
