“I heard about this place online, and they did not disappoint. The line was down the street. There were people from all over the country (FL, TX, MD, DC- and they weren't together)in line that came to visit and try their food. I wanted to try everything, but I got fish with a side of chicken, mac and cheese, and glazed/sweet green beans. Everything was so good. The chicken was so crispy and juicy. The catfish was flaky with crispy flavorful batter - and I don't even like catfish... let me say that! The portion sizes were amazing, and so was the customer service. They have Anointed Confections inside the store that sell the most delicious cakes, cupcakes, and pound cakes(not sure about pie) but dem cakes...look baby! Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Like a band of grandma's and church ladies made dem cake...lol....Go check out Chicken Kitchen and Anointed Confections“
“The employees were friendly, and the food was delicious. Some of the best food I had in NOLA ? the catfish was a little salty but still really good. Everything else was nicely seasoned, and not too salty at all. The lamb chops were mouth watering. The seafood pasta was my favorite side. I would get it over the Mac and cheese because the seafood pasta had more flavor. The greens were good also. They were out of yams. The beignets were yummy. Best donuts ever. Not too sweet. Nice and warm ? the wait is about 20-30 mins. We called and placed our order ahead of time, and we still had to wait a bit. We wished they had seating, but they have a little seating at the other location“

“Saw the pictures of their potatoes and had to try it out. Very friendly service and nice people. Ordered cheese sticks and fried mushroom. The cheese sticks were only okay because they were not hot and the cheese was not melted, it was more firm, which I dont prefer. Got a regular potato with chopped bbq. It was a little too saucy and made the mixture kind of turn mush. Caesar salad was good. The corn and crab bisque was a little salty to me. Overall we still enjoyed our meal and had leftovers for another day. Definitely recommend trying“

“We picked up food from here to go. FYI if you order the chicken it does come with sides… we ordered too much for two. As a person who can handle some spice, the jerk chicken was a bit spicy for me. A gradual growing spicey, so for that reason I preferred the curry chicken. Both chicken where very tender/juicy and fell right off the bone. I enjoyed the beans and rice, I’m not sure if it was a bit spicy or if it was still from the chicken but it was good. I do also recommend the collard greens.“

“Central Poboys make the heartiest, filling, delicious poboys. They are a busy lunch spot but customer service can't be beat no matter how busy they are! I always order a large ham and cheese poboy and mozzarella sticks when I am working as an actor at New Orleans Nightmare. Just 1/4 of the poboy right before the show keeps me going. The poboys also keep amazingly in the fridge, so get a big one and enjoy it for 2 days.“
