Johnny's Jamaican Grill Reviews
The food was exceptional and I really enjoyed the brown stewed chicken more than the shrimp. Would definitely come back to try their oxtails. Wanted the plantains and their drinks as well but they were sold out unfortunately. Would suggest ordering online like I did as you may be sitting a while. Also, be mindful you have to go through the club/hookah lounge to get to the food truck in the back. GPS is not going to help you here. Lol
Great food ! Got the ox tails with stew chicken. Great customer service and atmosphere
Best food we had all week was our first night at Johnny’s.
We ordered and shared all the dishes, and they were all spectacular.
It’s basically a parked food truck, but the property is comfortable, and they played great music. Took pix w Johnny and our group. Curry Shrimp was my favorite.
I guess it’s also a hooka bar? Seems to be many regulars who were watching soccer on very big screen.
When in the lower garden district, don’t miss out on Johnnys

Johnny's Jamaican Grill serves flavorful and satisfying dishes. The jerk chicken is spicy, but tender and juicy, while the curry chicken is a milder alternative. Sides like beans and rice, and collard greens complement the meals well. This family-owned Jamaican restaurant offers a lively atmosphere with music and drinks at night, making it a great spot for a night out. During the day, it's kid-friendly, and wheelchair accessible. With generous portions and fresh ingredients, Johnny's is a must-visit in New Orleans.
