The Brick Oven Cafe is one of. My favorite restaurants in the entire New Orleans area!! Strictly speaking, it is not in New Orleans but in Kenner on Williams near the airport but it is more than worth a planned stop!! Everything is homemade, mainly Italian but with a definite New Orleans twist. Dinner by myself in the Big Easy. Off to a rough start - confusion on who should wait on me and extended time +5 minutes to get first wait staff to acknowledge me and take drink order. I ordered the fresh hot toasted bread - it is served with cold hard butter - I sent it back. I ordered the soup of the day it was served lukewarm, I asked for hot soup. New cup was hot.
