Unloading for departure no problem at all on a Monday night at 5:20 PM.
Great TSA, friendly staff and clean.
clean, efficient. Great process, when they have adequate cues open for the tsa process....
Love the look of the new airport, but it’s still frustratingly inefficient.
TSA:
Even with TSA PreCheck and a short line, it still took over 20 minutes to get through security. The biggest issue was the lack of direction from TSA agents. Four bag screening lanes were open, but everyone was funneled into one line while about 10 agents stood by and said nothing. It felt like no one was empowered or motivated to manage the flow, which made the experience unnecessarily frustrating.
Rental Car Return:
Plan for a 15-minute shuttle ride between the rental car facility and the terminal. Returning a car was confusing due to poor signage. For example, if you’re with Hertz, you need to drive past the first garage entrance and continue up a ramp to the rooftop return area—but there’s nothing clearly indicating that until you have already found the ramp. A few better signs would go a long way.
Upkeep Issues:
For a brand-new airport, it’s disappointing to see things already falling into disrepair. The water bottle filling station wasn’t working and didn’t dispense any water. Several bathroom stall hooks were loose or falling off. Small things, but they add up and make the place feel neglected.
Great airport toms of everything
Easy to get around, easy to find what I was looking for. Easy access to ride share pick up. Very quiet at night.
Nice and clean. Planning wise also good.
Very bad service!
Some of the worst staff, tsa precheck was full of rude workers that honestly shouldn't have the luxury of working at such a nice place. The airport is beautiful and the lounge is perfect.

Pretty good airport experience overall
Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) gets my vote as the best airport in the world—for one simple reason: the flat continuous hard tile flooring. This thoughtful design makes maneuvering wheeled luggage effortless, allowing travelers to glide through the terminal with ease. A small detail, perhaps, but one that makes a world of difference in the airport experience. None of that low pile carpet crap of most other airports.
Literally no airport parking! How is that even possible. We were redirected to Valet which is twice the cost per day and there is only one person managing every other car who thought they could park at the airport too. Ridiculous!
Excellent Service.
