The barista was so rude and for absolutely no reason… after reading the other reviews, it clearly isn’t because she was having an off day. Not sure how she’s still allowed to work in customer service with an attitude like that.

Kind of sad the customer service I just received today. It’s been the same girl each time I went so it isn’t the first time she’s been horrible. She never even looked me in the eye and was the rudest employee I have ever encountered in a while. I will definitely be taking my business to better local coffee shops from now on. Used to be great here, but I can’t understand how businesses keep employees like this.

I’ve never felt so unwelcome somewhere. I ordered two sweet cream cold brews (extra sweet cream). The drinks were clearly not made with extra sweet cream, my husband was fine with his but I was not. I went back to the counter to ask who I assume is the manager of the cafe (older white lady with blonde/ possible greying hair) if more could be added. She obliged and said that I should ask for it how I want it made so it could be made properly the first time and they could charge extra, etc. (I did order it how I wanted with the younger guy at the register but I said okay, I didn’t want to cause a fuss). She handed me my coffee back and as I sit there stirring the extra sweet cream in, I hear her (very loudly) say “It would be easier if people actually ordered their drinks right, she didn’t order the right thing.” No I ordered the right thing, it just wasn’t made to my specifications of the extra stuff I requested. It also didn’t need to be discussed with another employee that it was MY fault. I should’ve said something while there but there were other customers, and again, it shouldn’t have been that big of a deal but it was definitely disheartening since my husband and I love coming here and have never encountered such snottiness from someone before. I also plan on calling to make a formal complaint, which I doubt will be taken seriously but maybe this is why Barnes and Nobles is struggling compared to its competitor BAM.
Good recommendations!

Friendly atmosphere and tons of good books.
Hands down this is my favorite cafe in Acadiana. When it comes to those times when I need an espresso wakeup call or a refreshing hydration drink, Carrol and her team of professional baristas are there to make my day. Their relentless passion to please is reflected in their work ethic as they perform their magic with coffee and tea in the hospitality industry. Awesome people doing what they love! Thank you BCN! Keep up the great work.
Barista Kathy P. was very rude. Pretended like she didn't hear my order and made me wait an extra 10 minutes to reorder. We came in being very polite and spoke. Her mannerisms and tone made it seem like she was already annoyed and irritated. Which is unfortunate, the cafe had just opened and she was already annoyed. Ruined my experience at my favorite coffee shop and made my day horrible. Very disappointed. ??
