Love me some Evangeline Maid Bread. I went home the pass weekend and have to bring back a couple of loafs. The Bread is so fresh and soft. I just had me a Peanut Butter sandwich. Not sure what’s going on with this bread but it’s always been the go 2. Shelf life sucks! Dry and brittle days later, the hotdog and poboy buns are dry and break completely apart when you open them. I’ve seen people complain about a change in recipe, apparently that’s the issue bc Evangeline Maid bread products SUCK now!!! Very disappointing!! ?

I normally would give EVMaid 5 stars. Best bread ever, hands down. But lately, something is different. The bread loses freshness very quickly. Most disappointing are the holes and thin spots in the slices of "thin sandwich". I've eaten this bread as long as I can recall and have never experienced cavernous holes throughout the length of the bread, ruining my purchase/loaf. But my disappointment was not complete: I felt shock & disbelief as I saw the crust that touced the bottom...read full review
