Robert was an amazing server! We loved everything he recommended to us. I’d give him 10 stars if I could!

We have been going there for years and I have always bragged that they serve the best food in lafayette. However, my recent experience was very disappointing. Food was terrible. Eggplant fries were burned. The snapper special was so overcooked I couldn't cut with a knife. My wife had the filet special
. Steaks were good however the gravy was burned. My son had the crawfish fettuccine which was mediocre at best. They removed snapper from the bill because it was not edible but the experience has left us with doubts of ever going back. Very disappointed.
Mr Robert made our evening very joyful. Explained everything very good and was super helpful with explaining the entrees to us. Highly recommend him when coming back! Food was fantastic 10/10
My husband and I had a superb experience at iMonelli’s thanks to our waiter, Robert. He set the pace of the evening allowing the atmosphere to set the tone. Everything he suggested was perfection on a plate! A quiet and romantic place, away from the noise of life- iMonelli’s will now be our go-to place for date night and family celebrations.

We had a great dinner experience at Imonelli. Crab and artichoke appetizer was fantastic. We had the oyster Rockefeller soup and wedge salad. The wedge salad was one of the best I've ever had. For our entree I had the bone in veal chop with cognac cream sauce. My wife had the veal Italiano. Both were fantastic. Bone in veal was incredibly tender. Highly recommend ?

EXCEPTIONAL service from Mr. Robert! Came here for my anniversary and was very impressed. The food was amazing and his expertise was second to none. Could not have asked for a better anniversary dinner. I recommend coming here if you want first class food and a dining experience fit for royalty. Thank you Mr. Robert.

Tonight was the night I proposed to the woman of my dreams. I’m so glad that I have chosen Imonelli to celebrate this amazing night. Robert was the best server I have encountered no doubt. Definitely will request him everytime as well as complements to the chief! Food was phenomenal!!

Took my wife and children to dinner. Arrived late for our reservation and they were able to accommodate us. Service was excellent. Crab and artichoke appetizer as well as the Imonelli salad and caprese were great starts to the meal. Snapper special was cooked perfectly. Kids loved the chicken fingers and sorbet. Finished with a turtle cheesecake and lava cake for dessert. Everything was very reasonably priced for the quality. Will be returning sooner than later.

Well, over the years, we have had many wonderful dining experiences here, but last night was NOT one of those. The food was presented COLD! There were 4 of us celebrating my brother-in- laws birthdayIt took 1 hour to receive our COLD food. We sent all of it back to be "nuked", not a very chic experience. I ordered the soft shell crab (about 3" point to point, very small), my brother-in-law ordered the Salti In Bocca (very, very bland), my wife & sister-in-law each ordered the Veal Pannata with lump crab meat (decent but COLD). Our server was great, but, should have checked to see if our order was ready within an hour. The food was sub-par. The staff were very apologetic & gave us a free desert... I will revisit iMonelli again, BUT, NOT SOON!

Having never set foot in the place since moving here 7 years ago, I was anxious to try the food although it was at a seminar. Our orders were taken before the meeting and it lasted an hour which should've given the kitchen ample opportunity to have the food ready. Granted, there were about 30+ of us there, but, the restaurant itself wasn't busy with just a couple of tables on a Tuesday night. We were brought out our first course (soup or salad), and, was okay, but then, had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes before the food started trickling out of the kitchen. Due to the fact I had to get back to work, I got mine to go and didn't bother to check it before leaving. It was a piece of grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce that was overcooked with charred edges and tough as shoe leather. The person putting it in the go box just dumped it all together in the box and handed it to me. The green beans appeared to be from a can and had no taste. Thankfully, I didn't have to pay for it but feel bad for the seminar host and know I won't be returning.

Lindsey, our server, was the only bright spot of a very lackluster meal. Both of our entrees were mediocre at best. I had the lamb and the demi glacé was so incredibly salty that it was inedible. My husband’s veal dish was served cold. What really bothers me is the atmosphere and shabbiness of the back dining room. And, the musician was so loud we couldn’t converse. It was a very unpleasant dining experience.
