Social Southern Table & Bar Reviews
My wife and I stopped in Lafayette overnight and found this place to try for dinner. It was a bit warm in the building, and humid, but otherwise we enjoyed ourselves. The bar drinks were done very well, the quality of the food selections were good and tasted great, and our server was excellent (my fault for not remembering his name). For a week night, it was quite busy so it seems be a winner. I do recommend it.
Food was incredible. We had the fried tomatoes, sweet potato biscuits, shrimp and grits, steak frites, and brownie - all out of this world! Cannot recommend enough.

Social Southern Table & Bar offers a pleasant and cozy atmosphere with a great vibe and moderate conversation levels. The restaurant serves high-quality and delicious food, with dishes such as shrimp and grits and sweet potato biscuits being a notable must. With a wide range of menu options where anything is worth it, including excellent drinks like the barrel aged sazerac, this restaurant is a great spot for both dinner and brunch dates, with top-notch and friendly service.
The bar area is nice, allowing for a delightful dining experience. Customers recommend the biscuits and honey as well as the chicken-fried green tomatoes, although the honey can be a little spicy. The service is wonderful, and the staff can passionately describe their favorite menu items. Customers have enjoyed the steak and frites, shrimp caesar flatbread, and blackened redfish on corn maque choux. The cocktails are some of the best in the city, and the extensive wine list is also impressive. Overall, Social Southern Table & Bar is consistently excellent in every detail, from the decor to the food and service.
