Mandez's Seafood Bar & Grill - LAFAYETTE LOCATION

I went through the drive thru to order my food. I got te american burger and fries. The burger was good the fries were better. The lady at the window however wasn't very inviting. I wasn't greeted with a smile or a hello. I started to drive off but I decided to give the food a try. I recommend trying for the food but customer service needs to be improved

first time at this restaurant and i felt very unwanted. it felt as thought i was somewhere that i wasn’t suppose to be. from the moment i walked in to the moment i walked out. if i could rate this place a 0 i would. server barely acknowledged me, when handing me my card it was tossed to me as if it would have been a issue to put it in my hand. i was forced to pay before i could even sit down. never will i go here again andi will make sure anyone i know doesnt goes as well.

To the Owner: I went there with a guest a month back. People on two tables right with counter started mocking us because of our perceived race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, and national origin. We were talking to eachother while they were taunting about that we are not cajun french or speaking such accent. These people were very rude and this happened first time to me in Lafayette. I was fixing to call Sheriff Office but then to respect other customers & business image I didn’t. This could be most coward act done by them to embarrass me in front of a guest. On the table right with counter was two men & a lady and on table next to them was a couple.

Fantastic redfish

Mandez’s is where we chose to have a much needed and overdue date night. Our waitress went above and beyond. We ordered the seafood nachos for an appetizer. Amazing! I ordered the crab cake dinner with a side of eggplant fries and a side salad with the pepper jelly vinaigrette. Crab cakes were flaky and cooked to perfection. Eggplant fries were crispy and not greasy. paired so well with the dip. Side salad was fresh , pepper jelly vinaigrette had the right amount of zing., and the pickled okra was the chef’s kiss! My husband ordered the shrimp basket and had no complaints. We loved that the dining area was small but well laid out. Great atmosphere! I can’t speak of the bathrooms because I didn’t need to use them while there. Definitely recommend!

Mandezs is the best!!! The owners wife is so nice and friendly. We eat here at least twice a week. Do yourself a favor and get the kung fu tuna stack!!!

The food is delicious although kind of expensive, my burger and fries was about 16-17$ in total and our group of 7 people cost a total of 111$. The service the restaurant provided was amazing and the atmosphere is cozy, I’d eat here once in a while but not everyday.

The food was pretty good (salmon was over cooked), but expensive, and there was a longer-than-expected wait for the food to be served.
