“Let's face it human servers are slowly being phased out so our interactions with someone behind The counter is few and far between. Personally I always aimed to crack them up. Makes me wonder if it's still McDonald's when smiles no longer greet each other.“
“For me whenever I would go to a store or fast food joint or a restaurant I have a thing for wanting every interaction with another person to be as positive & entertaining as possible especially in a work setting. If you make someone smile or laugh within seconds of meeting them it's an amazing thing. The weight of the world or any metaphorical expression that would apply here is gone...their worries, doubts, rather or not she'll get the rose tonight in the final episode show of whatever you like to watch I don't know I like documentaries but to each their own I say, if they forgot to turn off etc.....in that briefest of moments it feels like you're not at "work" you know you're at the game with guys realizing the S for LSU was out of place in your shirts off squad ritual or a bon fire with all the familiar faces through the years....it's a form of feeling free that's immeasurable & the beauty of it all is, it's contagious. So to all McDonalds employees that I won't have the opportunity to make lol out loud I'm talking embarrassingly loud you would probably snort involuntarily so maybe it's for the best cause you'll never live that inside work joke I tell you & if I was a regular getting to meet a new cashier everyday....the kiosk doesn't have a sense of humor I've tried it's a hard nut to crack. (If you're still here yes he said that and yes it's ok to be laughing. Since we are slowly losing the opportunity of face to face interactions with each other & for someone like myself who has issues with PTSD, depression it's those moments that provides a true natural remedy for when we are down & force ourselves to be sociable where we all act "fine" but are screaming inside...getting someone to laugh or smile is when I feel free. So I thought why not get as many to laugh as I can in one shot. If you laughed or came close that counts too hit that thumbs up....take care.)“
“This is the most efficient and friendly McDonald’s I have EVER been to!
Everyone was smiling and extremely nice! I think it took a total of 5 minutes or less to order, pay and get my food. There were 4 cars in front of me and just about as soon as they pulled up to the window they immediately got their food and drove off.
I’ve never ever seen a better run McDonald’s.
I went twice this week and the first time I figured I just caught them on a good day because I’m not used to that kind of service at McDonald’s. I went again today and it was the same, if not even BETTER service! I’m absolutely impressed and everyone in that store is doing an excellent job!
I hope they are getting holiday pay for working on Christmas Eve! They deserve it and more!
Great job to the entire staff!!“
“I showed up, unannounced, with a bus of hungry boys varsity soccer players and this McDonald's was more than accommodating. They got every single order correct and got the food out extremely fast and orderly. Great job to the manager and her crew that night! Super friendly and professional! Thank you!“
“I LOVE the new Frappe' Flavor! And the bits of caramel melt in your mouth. With 2 right out of the oven chocolate chip cookies, it makes a delicious treat.
Dietary restrictions: If your on a diet, you should not be eating at McDonalds nor any fast food drive thru restaurant.
Parking: McDonalds is located inside a Chevron Gas Station in Port Barre.
And I should point out that Port Barre McDonalds has cheaper prices , at least for frappes & 2 cookies , compared to Opelousas, Gtand Coteau, Carencro and Lafayette.
Yes I treat myself to a frappe' pretty often it seems.
Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't notice but every public place has to have handicap accessiblies.“
“Lady who filled my order forgot my hash brown. When I pointed it out to the manager, the lady caught an attitude saying I didn't order one, despite it clearly displayed on the receipt on my bag. Maybe she should learn to read a ticket before calling paying customers liars?“
“You can spend $30-40 & you still get a messed up order! The same manager long curly tip hair, that ignores what his employees does and how they act, different employees OFTEN,been going for 6 years?,and MET one RECENTLY, SHE actually told me she was in the military and she was going be working a double shift,it was actually on memorial day,lol I felt like she needed a 5 dollar tip to eat later that day,I do tip often, but if I could have took my 5 dollars back lol,bc not even 2 days later I seen a different side, she was rude to my son and she didn't know he was with me,I just observed her,and I know people who got out the military and have a way different personality than that, they are happy and respectful! Lord!! I just ordered a coffee and got out of there!! Going there is like Should I or Shouldn't I,"bc you just don't know how your food will look and who will be serving you!lol
Parking: It is Chaos for lunch,,?“
“I've only been here twice, once last week and once two years ago, both times were fine. My recent visit was drive thru breakfast and they forgot my forks for my hotcakes. Besides that they're good. The last-last time I went two years ago was inside and I got a quarter pounder meal. Quick service and cooked just right. Overall not bad.“
“Lemme tell ya…. 5 stars all day. Maddy makes this restaurant worth it. I keep ordering through the mobile app and have had a few issues with it here and there. She took time out (when it wasn’t busy) to walk me through a few of the issues and how to avoid them. She is kind and has an obvious wish to make sure her clients leave happy. If she isn’t running the place and teaching customer service 101 to your team, I’d highly advise you giving her a position that goes to all locations and giving them a course. Honestly, id go to Ruth’s Chris on a weekly basis if she was our waiter. Keep her, she’s a good one.“
