I hadn't been to Prejean's in a couple of years, and I was pleased to see the new menu. The softshell crab BLT was excellent! The service was fast and friendly. The Sunday brunch live Cajun music was wonderful -- thanks for keeping Les Freres Michot (one of my favorite local bands) on the schedule! The ambiance & decor were great as always, including the huge 14-feet taxidermied alligator near the front door!

Most authentic Cajun food in the state! BEST fried alligator I've ever had, melt in mouth tender! Love the authentic and original specials that change with the season! Everything fresh! ALL SEAFOOD LOCALLY SOURCED!! You can't find that often! 10/10 Every time!

During our recent trip to Louisiana, we went on a mission to try as many gumbos as possible so we ordered every gumbo and etouffee on every menu of every restaurant we visited. It's a lot of fun to see how many variations there are of this classic dish.\n\nPrejean is not a fancy place but it delivers authentic Cajun flavors (we loved their gumbos!) with a super friendly staff and great Cajun live music. \n\nIt's a bit outside Lafayette but totally worth the drive!
